Every time I grow something for the first time I do a segmented harvest (my term) because there is no one sure way to tell how much maturity is required to get the desired effect.

My BD is currently in 'fall colors' mode. Buds and sugar leaves are bluish, most pistils are orange and the older fan leaves are turning yellow from the bottom of the plant (oldest first) to the top. This is at six weeks into flower, really fast based on other varieties that are about 50% sativa. I know HSO says 8-10 weeks. I could be harvesting way too early but fall colors usually mean its time to think about a harvest. Possibly BD is different, I'll just have to see.

The fall colors could be a function of lower dark cycle temps. What about the trichs? My bet is you are looking at 90% clear trichs.
