Hey All

Having a bit of trouble with cloning at the moment......

I have a mom that is Super Skunk and is about 8 months old

For the cuttings i am using Growth Technology's Clonex purple gel

For two days before we clone we soak small rock wool cubes in 6.4 PHed water.

Then take the cuttings and put them in PHed water until we dip them in the clone gel and then into the small rock wool cubes.

Then into trays on heating pads that are at a temperature of around 28 deg celsius. The domes are being letf on 80% humidity.

They are being watered every two days and being sprayed with cloning spray every two days as well.

This method has been working really well in the past and it's only in the last couple of months that we are having trouble, with a lot of the leaves turning yellow and the roots coming through turning a little grey and not looking healthy.

Here are some photos.

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated

Thanks heaps

You cant plug clones straight into a drenched rw cube as they need air as much as water, you must shake the water out or let stand untill the cube is at most 50% wet and when watering the cube (about once a day) again only to 50%, as simple as dipping the corner of the cube in a bucket of water. To work out the 50% thing ,drench a cube then weigh it ,also weigh a dry cube and its in middle of the two weight measurements, which you will know by feel after a few batches.

Hey buds

Thanks for the advice, will def try weighting the cubes.

I'm guessing that's why the roots are going an ugly grey a couple of days after they pop through the rw cube.

This is what they look like and take about two weeks to come through.
