I am doing a 40 plant legal grow and want to know which seed strains will give me the highest yield and best buds.
I am growing inside in dirt with 600w hps lights in a climate controlled room. Also would like to know a reputeable place to buy the seeds from. Thanks

Attitude, Sea of Seeds, or Herbies. Or, if you can find enough strains you like, I have heard good things about Sannies, which is probably who I will be using next. Specific breeders I can recommend from experience with are Mr. Nice, Cannabiogen, Next Generation, and the four S's (Sensi, Serious, Soma, and Sagarmatha) and I am trying some stuff out from Mandala right now, because I appreciate their business philosophy and pricing. And ther as far as best yield and best buds go, are you trying for indicas, sativas, or hybrids, and do you have any kind of desired effects, flavors, colors, or scents?

Not particular about flavorsl, colors or scents. It is my first grow so I am looking for something potent with a high yield that does well using SCROG growing technique. I have heard good things about purple kush. Any opinions on that strain? Thank you

Well, personally, my growing style and environs kinda prohibit me from a SCROG setup, I like to move my plants around and get in there too much. What I use with my large plants when they get into flowering is generally a very tying-down intensive low stress training, but it accomplishes more or less the same effect of getting numerous smaller vertical colas, as opposed to one main massive one. The plants I have grown that have benefitted the most from this are sativa-dominant hybrids, Island Sweet Skunk took to it very well, and produced consistent massive quantity yields for me. Purple kush, from what I hear, is not much of a stretcher in flowering, but I have never grown it myself. If you are looking for an indica dom that has huge yields and gets real big in flowering, I like DJ Short's Blueberry. Great producer, very high quality herb, gets very pretty if you get low night temps in the finishing weeks, and can put out a massive yield. Although reading your post again, even 20 SCROG plants in flower would take up a MASSIVE amount of lateral space. If you're just doing a straight up Sea of Green grow, or are trying to keep your SCROG plants fairly small, then purple kush would definitely be a good choice. I mean, you could easily grow one blueberry or ISS on a 5'x5' SCROG and net between 300-500g off that plant, with appropriate veg time and quality love. Without SCROG I have gotten over 227g off of each of those plants.

Basically you are asking the same question that is asked 10x a day and given the same answers to 10x a day.

Attitude is the way to go for sure, select international express mail, you can track the package through usps. I have not been let down my them. Amsterdam seed co is the only one that screwed me. 200 bucks on May 15th and still nothing. When I email them I get some crap response that it has not been long enough etc. I ordered from attitude one week after them and the seedlings were replanted to pots this weekend. Go will attitude and chose your seeds with the strains you like, as to yield, lst them and you will get much more no matter what you pick to grow. Have fun good luck.

attitude delivers the goods with awesome UFO freebies the more you buy and on the first 3 day weekend of each month give even more freebies away in their newsletter offers. if you buy a lot of beans there, spring for the insurance and remember to use the 420 coupon code for 10% off your purchase. the selection, pricing & freebies make that a favorite site AND they sponsor this site too.

yield is fluid. you can get 400g m2 out of an average 50 day strain, but you can get 750g m2 with strains that only take a few weeks more. i'd lean towards those for better quality as well as less stone often

if you really want to max yield, i'd suggest SCROGging some larger strains and filling more space with better light penetration. extra veg time makes a big difference on an individual plant's yield.

i don't know how competitive it's yielding is, but the generic fruity haze buzz in john sinclair's sativa trans-love comes from a plan that buds like crazy as soon as you flip it and it was almost keeping up with a short auto masterkush for fast bag appeal. i'd bet i got an ounce in just 30 days out of my seattle gal that i'd topped and that was including making seeds. all my plants got polkadot burns then when i forgot to vent a few hours. i bet if i vegged that longer and filled my whole screen up with it, i would have had a great yield of nice high buds.

for a more traditional grow, i like the idea of low odor northern lights #5
