Need opinions on my second grow please!!

Hello All! I am going to start my second grow as soon as I get my seeds in the mail. I have ordered 5 Greenhouse Big Bang and 3 Greenhouse Pure Kush. I recently decided to email Herbies and see if they would change out my Pure Kush for the Super Critical after reading a lot of bad things about the Greenhouse Pure Kush. Anyways, I will be vegging under a 600w MH and flowering under a 1000w HPS. My new ballast (Thunder) has a Super Lumen switch which is supposed to increase lumens by 15% which would make it 1150w. Don't know how that will work but am eager to find out. I will be using the Botanicare Pro line of nutes and using Fox Farms beastie bloomz as a bloom enhancer while in flower. Growing in five gallon pots or bigger in a 5x5x7 tent. I will have 2 6" inline duct fans to cool the light in its cool tube, one pulling the air out on one end and the other pushing air in on the other side. My 6" cool tube has a 31x25 reflector on it so hot spots and cool spots should be minimal. Will be using Dr. Earth Organic Potting soil as this is the best soil I can get around here. I also will have a 4" Carbon filter with a 190cfm fan exchanging air from above the light to help with any heat problems I may have from the lighting, which I don't think will be bad, and to filter for smell. My first grow I grew 3 Strawberry Haze in 3 Gallon pots with Miracle grow Organic potting soil, Botanicare nutes, and my 600w HPS and, after dry and cure, yielded a half pound of some of the best smoke Ive had in quite a while with an outstanding taste and smell that has rivaled any stuff around here that people call good. How many plants should I grow in this tent for optimum yield? I know all about the whole "less plants, longer veg and more plants less veg" scenarios. I am partial to growing decent sized plants. I like keeping it simple. How many feet of grow space should I give my plants? 5 feet per plant? 4? Both strains I have coming to me are very good yielders and dominate Indica plants. I have a seven foot tent so height shouldn't be an issue. If need be, Ill tie them down. Should I go with a 5 gallon pots or should I go with 7 gallon pots? If using five gallon pots, I was considering going with 5 plants, giving them five square feet to grow per plant. Is this a good idea? Or should I grow four plants in 7 gallon pots with less grow space, around 3.5 feet of grow space per plant? I would appreciate all the feedback I can get! Thanks fellow tokers

first off. I would start them under cfl until they are 2 feet tall before turning on that 600 mh. waste electric. then veg 3 of them 2.5 feet tall NO taller the finish will be 5 feet tall about. 3 plants from seed. under thousand watts. you will pull easy 6 to 12 ounces . total adding more plants pull the same weight. light is hat makes yield. advice is from 15 years experience. 5 or 7 gallon smart pots. I would suggest 7 gallon pots. helps in the yield a bit . 5gallon to 7 gallon about extra half ounce or so each plant. . topping them you could pull double yield. yea 10 ounces to 20 ! 3 plants from seed thousand watt hps. people get greedy put 10 plants under a thousand watt light and only pull 10 ounces total. why waste seeds . my opinion only

Great advice man! I have a dimmable ballast for the 600w mh so I could start them off at the lowest setting, as I don't have any cfls. So when you say veg 3 until they are 2.5ft tall, are you meaning only to grow three plants as well? I would love to get a 20 ounce yield. I was aiming for an elbow so anything above that would just be a plus! I would never put more than five or six plants under 1-1000w light so that wasn't even an option. No greed here. Just trying to get maximum yield. My seeds are high yielders anyways so at least a pound shouldn't be a problem. So, grow only three then?
