Need more light, but how should I do it?

If time is going to factor when you get more lights, I'd suggest in waiting, just simply bring your fixtures down another 6-12" and see how much difference it truly makes.

Yeah I've lowered them where I can

If your waiting and gonna revamp. Samsung should have their new horticultural strips out tax time. I know I'm lookn forward to them coming out. Even though I'm building a new strip light right this very second. Jus taken 5 min break. But I'm stoked about the new strips coming out.

yeah ive been looking at those too. Though I think in the end itll be cheaper to get more of the 561 diode boards even if i need more of them than i would the newer diodes.
Ill be getting new price quotes and looking at options again before I order though so it could be possible.

Exactly what I was gonna say too. They're hyping these horticultural strips up and will definitely be over priced for a good long while. I still think it's probably best to still use the 561's over the301's.

I've gotta ask... What's your veg setup like? Do you keep mothers? How big is this area? I'm mostly curious about what kind of veg lamp you have if it isn't obvious.

Got it. It says you used T5 specifically because you don't have enough heat. It makes me wonder (obviously from the thread I started) why you didn't just use HPS for this flowering area.
It wasnt just heat specifically but that does help in the veg tent, I got both the lights and all the bulbs cheap as hell local. I wasnt going to do a separate veg setup until I got the crazy deal on those. The heat in both tents is great right now.

Power consumption and longevity. Even after adding what ive talked about in this thread, Ill be using nearly half the power that id use with the 4 1k hps id put in there.
The diodes are rated for 50,000 hours and will be run 12 hrs a day so even if I run them every day year round they should still last 10+ years. Their drivers have a 7 year warranty.
Also height. using HPS would give me around 2ft less of usable vertical space.
