So im about half way done with my grow and moving to one tent set up again. Heres my issue i will be going to one tent but want to put my two light together but i have two plugs on my leds that i need to get down to one.

Also i need it to be upgradeable cause i want to add some boards later on and be able to run a controller to control the red, blue and white. Right now i have two meanwell 1400 drivers can i still use those or do i need different ones? Right now they are pushing vero 29s at 400 watts and would like it to stay around that.

So to sum up what i need help with i would like to know if i can keep my drivers or do i need new ones? If i can keep them how can i wire them down to one plug? Dont knownif this will help but plan on getting all parts from chilled, rapid or timber or all 3 not sure yet.

Thanks and respect

We would need some more info on the boards you are thinking about using and the drivers you currently have.

The only way to use the chilled boards with COBs or other LED's is to wire all the channels in series and run two of them in parallel. Would be ~90v and 700mA for each board and around 126w from two boards in parallel (with HLG-185H-C1400)and there are still 53v you could use to add lets say a luminus CXM22(50v COB) or a double row H-influx strip to get even more LM301b's. 1050mA is maximum when you use the boards this way.

To power each channel separately over such a chilled controller you need probably a 24v or 30v driver.

With other reef controllers like the Bluefish from rapidled you would need additional LDD for each channel to dimm the colors separately. When you plan to use more than two boards you could use separate drivers for each color/channel. For instance an HLG-120H-24A(up to 150w) for all white LED's, an HLG-80H-30A(~90w) for the red and HLG-60H-15A(~70w) for the blue channels. Around 310w out of two chilled boards, all white channels connected in parallel, the red ones connected in parallel and same with the blue ones.
This combo would also work with the Bluefish controller cuz he can work out of the box with 10v PWM without extension card. And its easily scalable up to 8 parallel boards with HLG-600, 480 and 320, btw.
