Hey guys and girls I've come into a problem i have never encountered before hear me out if you can.

I (was) growing 2 plants in a 60ltr tub until i looked today and found one of my plants (a runt) was rotting at the stem and all of foliage withering away dead.
The problem is my other girl is 6 weeks into flower with another 4 weeks to go sharing the same 60ltr tub.
I cut the stem down below the rot leaving the base of the stem with a pretty big root base intertwined with my flowing girl.

Wtf am i suppose to do?

Not much you can do with the intertwined roots.

I assume they are in the same pot? if not just trim the roots that exit the pot of the troubled plant. Maybe use a composter like hydroguard to breakdown the dead roots intertwined?

Thanks.
I ended up pulling out the net pot with 90% of the roots. Had to cut the last 10% off which were stuck to the other rootball.
Hopefully the rootball wasn't too stressed. So far looks to be doing alright.

Will DM zone break down the dead roots?
