How much does it cost? Where you getting it from?
I have a 48x48x84 and can for sure fit 5 nice size plants. Mines an apollo cost only about 130$ and held my hood, carbon filter/inline fan and an oscillating fan hanging without any real issues. Dont lean on it at all though..

Do 2. Plan on using SCROG or LST to train or arrange the space for best light coverage.

I think you can make the space work. The training method I have been using might be close to optimal for you (topping and then LSTing the whole plant perpendicular with the ground). The growth is heavier across one plane at the beginning. This way you have your pots on opposite corners and the two plants lying perpendicular to each other.

In the end, of course, the canopy will be packed regardless. .
