Im planning to grow about 10 plants up in wisconsin. I have a few questions thought.

When do you think it would be a good time to plant them in wisconsin?

What is a good type of soil?

How often do you need to water?

Know of any outdoor beginner strains?

thanks for the help guys

I'm new to outdoor growing myself, but I'll try to help out with what I've learned from reading, and people helping me.

Earliest time would be after the last frost. Depending on your area, it's probley the begining to middle of may. If it's been a abnormaly cold winter, wait an extra week to be sure. The sooner they go out the larger they will get by harvest.

What is a good type of soil?
Something that can retain some moisture, but not hold too much water. You don't want the roots to drown. The soil should be somewhat loose to allow the roots to grow freely, but still compact some if you squeze it.

How often do you need to water?
Hopefully you get some decent rainfall, then mother nature can do it for you. If the rainfall is good, but you see that they've gone 2-3 days without water, then it's time to give them a drink. If you use liquid ferts, then give them every other feeding, not everytime.

This i don't know, but i would suggest just using some good bagseed from some killer smoke if it's your 1st grow outdoors. That way if something happens and none make it, your not out money for seeds. You can use the grow for experience, and when you get the hang of it, buy some seeds.

I hope that was helpfull. If I missed anything or was off on something, I'm sure that someone will come around and chime in.

Good luck, and may it be a bountiful harvest.
