need help with veg tent and some small stuff. <3 plz help! <3 new grower

what size should veg tent be if flower tent is 4x4 600w hps and how many watt is ok to use led/hps

hello guys ! <3 hope someone is gonna take the time and answer <3

im gonna start a grow with 4x4 tent hps 600w. flower.

what size should the veg tent be ?
what light wattage should i use in it with led
im gonna grow short indicas.
i would prefer sog if that mathers on tent size.

I vote Mormon.

I wouldn't go smaller than 3 by 3 and frankly I would buy a five-by-five and start using that for my flowering, as you're going to need the extra space when they start stretching and bushing out in flower

ps. Somebody's going to start talking about watts per square foot soon, half the year I can't run a thousand Watts cuz of heat.

wouldn't 600 hps be to little for 5x5 tent? ( im new grower, I just read that 600w is best for 4x4 but mybe im mistaken? thx for the answer ! <3

Definitely one pound, definitely!

No I'm just kidding that's something I have to say contractually. I really don't know, I don't weigh things, the only thing I've noticed when I use the 600 setting instead of 1000 the buds aren't as hard and they may or may not stack a little closer at a thousand watts too, so there's definitely a little loss in yield but you do what you can you, if know what I mean.

If you want to stay at 600 you could get a three-by-three and put a 400 in it that might work well for you? I run my 600 in the vegetable tent at 400 more than anything else I'm usually trying to slow things down in veg

How many plants are you planning on running in each tent?

Thanks that's OG Rascals Afghani Kush (nightmare to trim) and bud on the table is Mystery Gorilla Glue (aka. freebies, nobody knows who the breeder is, long story from another thread)

Also the amount of plants varies, if I grow them big maybe four, if small maybe more

yeah that's kinda what I thought about a 3x3 with 400 for veg, but would 250 be to little? im not American so we cant rly grow here :P so im kinda scared about the watt. but I rather go 400 then 250 if it would mather a lot that is,

I was thinking of 4 or 9 plants not sure , im still new and trying to figure out how many plants is best when I want the veg time to be 8 weeks from when I plant the seed or clone ( pre root) any ideas?

20171229_211219.jpg Dude I used 250w all the time in my 4 by 4 veg when I'm holding plants back, but they still grow too damn fast! ..my opinion is you can definitely use a 250 in a 3 by 3

that's awesome! I feel that 250w would be so much more stealthy next to my 600 flower on the electrical bill :D
but would u think 4 or 9 would be a good choice if I want 8 week veg time?

Again that would be largely dependent on strain and if you're planning to train them or not, excetera, that's something many of us figure out as we go! :mrgreen: .. to make a choice I would say four, possibly 5

I'm guessing your 600 has 400 & 250 settings? If so you might consider using that for veg, and buying 1000/ 600 / 400 and that way you can have it if you ever need it or want it

Another Choice might be a 315 CMH I think I'm going to use that in my veg tent when I have to replace the current ballast look it up take your time hold on and get some other input

true! well I guess I start with 9 and in worse case I kill some of them :P <3 thx for the advices dude rly apreaciate that ure taking ure time <3
