eat anything minutes before the test. chocolate works well, i'm sure strong coffee will too. listerine might give a false positive for alcohol, but i'm not sure...

remember to coat your entire mouth, under the tongue, sides of cheeks, gums....

they usually swab under the tongue, between cheek and gum, or the inside of your cheek....

You are taking a big risk....you never want to come up positive on a drug test. If it were me I would make up an excuse to cancel and flush for a few days.

If you're going to be a good boy and take a drugs test, ask them to answer a few questions to make them work for it and appreciate what a violation they are suggesting.

What is the name and address of the lab that will perform the test?

EXACTLY what test or tests are to be used?

For each test performed, list the type and quantity of specimens required?

For each test performed, list the percentages for false positive and false negative results

Provide statistical justification for these percentages.

In the case of a false positive, what are the established procedures for retesting?

How many times will retesting be permitted?

What are the established procedures for resolving consistent false positive results?

What facility is going to extract the specimen(s)?

Are the lab and the blood extraction facility bonded?

What company carries their malpractice insurance and what are their policy numbers?

EXACTLY what information will be released from the lab to the employer.

these will only detect up to 12 hours after.
Unless your a heavy smoker and have build up inside your mouth.
they also sell a rinse that works temporarily @ head shops.

Hi I'm new and I hope you get this before you have to go or help someone..
Saliva tests are able to detect more recent use than other drug testing procedures and are able to detect use within the past few days. These tests are very product specific because there are no nationally accepted standards or cutoff concentrations for detection. The test does require lab processing to ensure that the test is accurate. These tests are also the hardest to manipulate but ..see this:
Detection Period by Cannabis
· Single Use
1. Blood Test: 2-3 days
2. Saliva Test: 12-24 hours
3. Urine Test: 2-3 days
4. Hair Test: Up to 90 days
· Habitual Use
1. Blood Test: 2 weeks
2. Saliva Test: 12-24 hours
3. Urine Test: Up to 12 weeks
4. Hair Test: Up to 90 days
Also...It is important to understand that what is being tested for varies greatly depending on who is performing the test, the cost of the test, the expectations and federal requirements. Some businesses may also have their own personal drug testing rules as well. Federal government guidelines require that those who hold a commercial driver’s license and work for a business where they will be driving a commercial vehicle have a drug testing system in place. If you are in the professional driving profession, you will need to pay special attention to the type of testing that your company requires. The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) requires that companies test for five specific categories of drugs. Most drug testing companies will provide a test that checks for all five categories. These five categories include:
· Cocaine – Includes Cocaine, Crack and Benzoylecognine
· Cannabinoids – Includes Marijuana and Hash
· Amphetamines – Includes Speed, Methamphetamines and amphetamines
· Opiates – Includes Heroin, Opium, Codeine and Morphine
· Phencyclidine – PCP
Depending on what profession you are in or what business or governmental department you are required to take a drug test for, there may be expansion tests required. These test for additional drugs such as:
· Barbiturates – Including Phenobarbital, Scorbarbitol and Butalbital
· Hydrocodone – Including Vicodin and Lortab
· Mehqualone – Known most commonly as Quaaludes or Ludes
· Benzodiazepines – Includes Valium, Xanax, Librium, Serax and Rohypnol
· Methadone
· Propoxyphene – Includes Darvon compounds
· Ethanol – Known as Alcohol
· MDMA or Ecstasy
Drugs that can be tested for, but are not commonly tested for include:
· LSD
· Tryptamines – Including Psilocybin, AMT, DMT, DPT, 5-MeO-DiPT
· Phenethylamines – Including Mescaline, MDMA, MDA, MDE, 2C-B, 2C-T-7
· Inhalants – Including Toluene, Xylene and Benzene
