Need help with sizes for my room.

Hey guys im going to start my first full indoor grow, already made a small thread somewhere, anyways. i have questions that i would love to have answers for... as i am craving to set it all up already and germ those seeds.

currently have:

mylar as much as i need.

light:
400w MH
400w HPS
[can only use one light at a time as i have one ballast atm. and anyway i only want to use 1 light as i dont grow with a mother plants]

Ventilation:
Cooltube for the 400w HPS\MH that i will hang.
A fan that will take air from outside the dresser..

seeds:
3 Snowryder Automatic Femenized Seeds
3 Northern Lights Automatic Femenized Seeds


the prob is that i dont have a discrete place for a tent right now and i want to use the equipment and seeds i have to grow 3 snowryder femenized seeds i got from sensi for a fast crop.

any ideas on the dimension for the closet that i need to build to house 3 snowryders and a future 2 northern lights automatic. going to grow in soil with bio bizz nutes.

I can build the closet from scratch just need a little proportion from a pro about the dimension in centimeters for the closet for such a grow with such light and ventilation system... a place for a small carbon filter might be needed..


and most importantly i have all kind of tools and i can get anything needed. if u guys think i should grow with other lights in order to keep the space cool as i want to grow small and discrete please suggest away for the thing i desire.. just listed the things i have and of course a good set of hands that can work

any suggestions guys? any chance a folke can get a helpful hand? :}

the plants will not grow very big being autos. the main problem will be venting the heat from the 400mh/hps. a medium dresser - 100cm X 75cm X 40cm ( H x W x D ) would be adequate to house all the needed goodies and have room to grow. just vent out the back with some light baffles to prevent escaping light.

Interesting. will I be able to cool it with just the exhaust? its preety big.. i just measured my cooltube as a whole.

Measurements are as follows:

Cooltube = 50cm on the dot.
Cooltube+duct+exhaust 95cm minimumm.. 110cm on the safe.. thats what i need for minimumm to fit my light equipment.. thats for width anyway..

about cooling the place.. u say?


maybe i should get a new light system? a lighter one? how far should the lamp be from the canopy at most close at any time using a 400w hps in that small space?

and how would i cool it? (im stoned if u havent realized from the way i write)

And P.S regarding height. what is the good height for such a strain as the snowryder auto? take into account im using 400w hps.

do you think that because i try to go so compact i might try to find some weaker light for less heat?

I think u got things a bit mixed up, 100cm is a bit more than 3f. you need much bigger space than that. if you eventually want to grow 5 plants you will need 3x3x2.5 meters WxLxH.

I think you missunderstood the purpose of the space I want to create..
I have 3 SnowRyder Femenized seeds which is an autoflower ryder strain, very small and bushy.. by the seedbank the claim if grown properly 90-120cm height. from what I hear from growers its 70-90 in reality.

I wish to make it as small as i possibly can, even if that means buying a new ballast and a smaller wattage lamp and smaller ventilation to keep the whole thing more quiet and stealthy, What i need to take in account is ventilation in small space and what kind of light to use.. and a place for a small carbon filter can.

even if you go 12/12 from seed and keep it short, it will get to 70cm hight + 15cm tall pot + 20cm from top of plant to lights + lamp set up and cool tube + carbon filter!!! many things to take in consideration! you will need at least 2m tall box. you can narrow down the width but it will result in low light penetration, bad ventilation and mold growing - the branches will cross each other. you need more space or less plants. what climate are you dealing with? is it still hot and dry in your area?

I would probably go with a 250 for a small space - mainly for less heat.
I would also put some vent holes in the bottom for fresh air intake and have the air sucked out the filter and cooltube - vented out the back
for sound I would get a speed dial for the fan to turn it down to an acceptable level - also could build a box around the fan (lined with eggcarton foam) to kill some sound - and use insulated ducting.
the size for width is mainly up to your equipment - will it fit - height would be by what plants you want to grow - height of plant+pot+space for light from tops (20-40cm for strong lights). just because you are using auto does not mean you cant LST or supercrop them to use less room on height.

you reccon he can get 5 plats in that space? and if so will he be able to vent it out? imo- he will need the legth to be same as width... (105x105) and all equipment outside the closet. they wont room for them (carbon filter, cooltube out-take fan and water tanks...)

for autos, yes - they take up very little room.
auto flowering plants flower no matter size or light schedule. most end up looking like 12/12 from seed plants - often a bit smaller. They are good for outdoor - low maintenance set and forget - pc and stealth grows as well as SOG - popsicle style grows. not much production on each plant but they are small and fast.

I Can't really seem to find the minimumm space dimensions I need to get started with my grow..

The growbox needs to fit for 2 autoflowering plants at a time, consider I have no prior experience in LST'in or SCRoG. all i have is good two hands and a close by hydro growing equipment store near by which I can get everything from..

Can anyone tell me what kind of space and lighting would I need for 2 plants 70-90cm high, plus is depth an issue with growing indoors stealthy?? how do plants react to lack of depth?
