put some water in a cup or glass and drop seeds in it.tap the ones that float and check every 12 hours tap floaters and look for white root to come out then move to media.

I like to do the paper towel method as well. I fold it up a couple times so it'll hold more moisture. Probably best to use RO or distilled water, but I just use tap water. I put it on a plate, wet it down, put the seeds on, then fold over the top so it's covered and wet it down a little more. Then I cover the whole plate with plastic wrap to keep it from evaporating. Then I put the plate in a warm, dark place.

I leave it alone for 24 hours. After that I check a couple times a day to see if they've popped. I don't like for the tap root to get too long before I get it planted.

I'm no pro, but this method has always worked great for me - never a problem.

Thanks, I was too lazy to explain it all, lol. But this is how I do it too but I use a plate on top instead of plastic wrap.:peace:

I use the moist paper towel and keep it under complete darkness. Checking it daily for signs of the taproot forming. Once the taproot is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch then I transplant into presoaked rockwool cubes.
I hear others using the soaking of the seed in a shot glass and it is supposed to be alot faster. But I myself never have tried it yet. Best of luck..

The Seed companies recommend you use the water method in a glass and it is real fast.

That is what it's about, is doing what you have good results with.Find a fresh seed first.Seed company seeds are fresher than bag seed so there will be a higher germ rate.
