Need Help With Different Light Spectrum

hey i am a new grower and im going to be using cfls in a small hight restricted space i am going to be growing 1-2 plants prolly only 1 at a time but i need to know what the best spectrum of light for cfl is good for vegging and for flowering i will have the lights set up approx. 4-2 inches from the plant and i will be doing a LST grow because of hight restrictions
what watt of cfl should i use and what spectrum for each stage(vegging,flower)

6500k for veg and 2700k for flower. you want a bare minimum of 50w per square foot but more is always better.

so if we choose a MH to veg , how many K that we should choose ?because i found 2 kinds of K , that'r 4500k and 6000k........which one is better?

thanks for the info moe i already know this but i need more info on if i can use cfls from seed-flower and if 2 23watts would work on one plant with a 2 foot wide X 2 foot deep X 1 foot in hight stealth grow bpox but this info u showed is very useful rep+

2700k 100 actual watts +- 10%
If you want dense buds you will have to suppliment with a couple 6500k lights. 23 actual watts.

IMO you will need a scog or minni sog to get any quantity out of that small area.
Also 1 plant is a gamble if yiou need the smoke. Better odds with 2 smaller plants

good advice but i got 3 seeds germinating but i gotta wait for them and all i need to know is if i use 2 23watt cfls would that work or would 2 23watts and a 13watt for side/under growth be better ?

Also going to add a link to an experiment i did so u can see side by side what to expect from using the different light sources already described above and by different posters on this thread. The lights i used in cflvshps are pretty the cheapy light fixtures u can pick up at home depot.

My bad heres the cflvshps: Dont get me wrong that i have seen some awesome grows and harvest with cfls, But ive found that in tight, stealthy grow spots 65k cfls are awesome for vegging tight stout plants but these cheapy hps lamps consume about a third of the space and produce a much better quality and yield at harvest time!

you said you have a 2' x 2' grow box. thats 4 sq ft. you want 100 actual watts / square foot. = 400w. or an absolute bare minimum of 50w per square ft = 200w. right now you have 46watts with your 2 bulbs. its not enough light to grow a decent plant. you don't have enough hieght with lights and pot to even grow 1 plant let alone 3. you need a bigger space, or higher wattage bulbs and preferably both. good luck whatever you decide to do.

just today i added Another light tho i havent bought the 23watts yet i have three light places i only have 13watts right now but i am going to buy higher watage ones and i am going to posible get scotts potting soil but i am wondering if it is cheap and what price it is and if it is avable from walmart?

depends where you are. walmart around me pretty much shuts down their garden section from the holidays until spring. home depot or lowes keeps stuff year round.

ya ya o think they do shut it down and i think they already did and i cants get it from some where else cuz i just sold my car ane the nearest home depot or city besides walmart is like a 30min drive and like a 3 hour walk and i really dont want to carry a bag of soil and light bulbs for 3 hours

i only got $30 and i need to get my soil and bulbs im prolly getting a 2 pack of 20-30watt cfls and i prolly getting scotts potting soil or maricle grow(even tho MG sucks all i can really afford or get my hands on)

if you have to buy the mg get the mg organic. its lower in nutes than the others and less likely to burn your seedlings

Organic you are going to need more cash, Once you buy the stuff green sand, blah blah....Nothing is expensive you just need some stuff for startup.

Lighting you have enough to start but to get any quantity worth your time and cash. You are going to need more better lighting.
That is not counting ventilation, water purification(if necessary)

I have had a grow for years( i am an old man) its pretty simple and costs me 100$ annual not counting electrics. But if i had to start up minimum would be 200 dollars U,S..

I am not saying you can not do this you need lots of input and need to cover all senarios through harvest. Money is tight.
Fall is a good time to buy this stuff because in the northern latitudes soil pots fertilizer all gets sold cheap so the stores do not have to pay storage.

Good example I purchased a 55 gallon bag of pertilite for 4 dollars...5 gallon pots 1 dollar

Although I am consistently stoned I like to keep it real. this is the best advice I can give you.

I am a medical user, never sold even 1 gram. This is necessary for me as i developed allergis to opiates. You get real serious when your life depends on your harvest.

alright well i donno where i can buy pots, and soil, and perlite because wal-mart where i live already put all the gardening equiment in storage and i have no transportant and the next store is about a 3 hour walk there and a 3 hour walk back i may solve the pots problem i may have some but i need to solve the soil and perlite i beleive i may still be able to aquier the perlite because i thinks its used for fish tanks does anyone know if u can grow a plant with only perlite does this give off nutes also?

cant go out side i live with three other people and their nerds and they dont drink or smoke anything and if i get caught ill get charged by them or they would call the cops so i need to keep it stealth
