Hello everyone...My 6x9 room is having a heat issue and I would like to know if anyone has an idea on what to buy..I need to drop the temps at least 10 degrees when the door is closed. Air conditioner, maybe ceiling mount, or humidifier?? That is the question..Thanks ahead for all the great input:blsmoke:

portable ac units work best and this is why, humidifiers/coolers can make it too humid trying to cool the room to the point where you need it unless your in a really airid area and could use the extra humidity, and a window a/c would need to be in a room close to your grow room with venting to your grow room, or on the wall of your grow room but the backs of those a/c units put off a lot of heat and for obiouse reasons you wouldn't want to put it in the window of your grow room if it has one.

yeah, get a portable AC. Most of them come with exhaust hoses that you can port out of the window, or through a filter box, then out the window. it has brought my temp down from 95-105 to the 65-80 range (I just set the dial 2 degrees lower than i want it).

You can get them off of craigslist for a good deal, or go to home depot.

do you have 1500cfm of exhaust fans in there? would want this much or more to make sure you get the heat out of the room quickly before it adds up
an oscillating fan for circulation? evens out the temps in the room
cooltube vented outside? will remove heat before it affects the room
CO2? will allow/require you to run higher temps than normal with better results

Thanks for the info folks and I do actually need an exhaust fan. I will go that route first but I will probably need an ac unit before next summer.

Well theres your problem, with no exhaust fan your just trapping the heat in, add 1300-1500 cfm fan for exhaust and you should see a big difference.

6 x 9 room and i assume 8 foot tall is a 540 cfm fan plus a bit for lenght of venting and a filter

Yep that is what I am figuring...I probably need a vortex fan instead of inline for the power to push the air out thru the duct and to the roof
