This is my first grow and we all might run into a problem. Ok let me start from the beginning so you can get a clear picture of what I'm going to explain. When my plant was 2 to 3 weeks from seedlings I tried LST and I broke one set of leaves on one side so now I got a lot of small colas at the bottom so I wait a week and I try it again I broke another set of leaves on the same side I broke the first set and now I have a lot more small colas growing. In so many words almost all bottom stems and leaves are growing into each other or growing between the big fan leaves and it's marking it impossible to do LST.

a picture is worth 10,0000 words
are you in soil?

how long has the plant been receiving 12/12

if the plant was growing in a healthy process it would have grown out of the damage from the breakage
it might have yielded less but it still would have moved foward
from what your describing it sounds like you might have a few issues going on
first
a picture is needed

then need to know what your feeding it how often how much and if your monitoring your ph or not?

Just let plant grow a bit - so you "topped" your plant ? if so go with it a get two main colas - give it a week before doing anything; small branches are better "positioned" with a small bambo, ect piece in in the "V" ( branch & stalk) No tieing.

Sorry guys New to the grow series and I wasn't able to buy the cannabis bible yet because of the American dream if you wanna live the dream you gotta pay bills lol but I'm still in veg stage and I meant the nodes are growing on top of each other and I'm in a grow box with a DIY CFL reflector with a 8 bulb replacement it was 2x150w big blue 6500k with a mix of 4x100w 5000k bulbs I'm gonna transition my plant to bloom in a week or 2 so now I got 6x100w 5000k 2x60 2700k and 2x I think 13w 5000k for light that can't get bottom plant and I had to do a lot of changes once I got a new monitor to check my temp and humidity. One point my grow started in my book with 4 cfls and panda film with no way to get fresh air in and stale air out so over the time of grow I started to get white powdery mildew problems so I got everything out the box and I started everything back up in the closet where I made my flower stage so I got a 6 inch inline duct fan with 160 cfm so banged a hole in the wall and put the fan there everything was good but my problem was I needed new panda film to light proof my closet door the next thing is when I told you I got the new monitor because I came across a grower that told me you should have two to know if your accurate and I had 2 of them but one was broken like I thought so my humidity was in the 30's so I put a hole In the box one for fresh air the other for the fan my box is putting in work like no other I will get pics I'm just one my phone doing this and I'm not on wifi so it might be a min oh and I'm in a 7 or 5 gallon pot the big plant and my small one is in a 3 gallon pot and for food I have botanicare cns17 grow + bloom and the cal-mag plus

Don't worry too much about the plant growing tightly. A healthy plant will work these problems out. One suggestion is to move your light up a little bit to encourage a little bit of stretching, which will give you more space to work with. You can also try to gently push the large fan leaves away from and underneath new growth.

LSTing is an art and it takes time to figure out exactly how each plant will react. Just take your time and learn as much as you can from this first grow. And don't give up. Finish out this grow!
