Hi I'm new to growing, I have a grapefruit auto fast bud seed roughly a week ago I germinated my seed paper towel method ... I then placed it in soil about a pencil rubber deep .. I then used a spray bottle to water it and left it in my window it's the 4th day now and no flower has popped theough the soil so with a special tweezer I like removed soil around the seed without touching it and my seed looked exactly the same as when I planted it the seed was kind of sideways so I put it root face down (the root is kinda curling the side of the seed) ...and I repositioned the seed standing straight this time I covered soil over the seed ..not a lot ... but is it normal for it to not have sprouted through the soil yet? I haven't put any high end light yet I've been using my led lamp which is like 4w so I don't damage my seed because I'm scared I have a 300w cfl light though ... the root color (when you germinate he little tale) it was basically white ..kinda very very light yellow but I'm assuming that's from being in soil ... but it's very light yellow you can barely notice it ... what should I do ? I'm new to growing and I just want advice please ..thank you!!

P.s I've lightly watered the soil once every two days to keep it damp but not soaking wet ...

its normal, you dont need much light until you get real leaves. maybe too cold? keep it warm but not over 90F. root color sounds right. idk be patient.

No I have everything except for a tent .... I put light warm water in a spray bottle and I'm going to let it sit for 24 hours ... I mean the seed germinated. .. I planted it the right depth as I saw videos and I even used a ruler to measure (I know wierd and nooby) it's been 4 days ... I must be doing something wrong or maybe I have to just wait a bit more. .. the seed barely had light these days as the light I have on now isn't strong at all .maybe I should put my cfl light going ???

This is common for some autos.

If they had shown root from paper towel, as long as the soil where you planted wasn't soaking wet just damp, it takes normally a da or two to show. Four days is getting long and it may not sprout. You could try leaving it a few more days and see what happens

Right I'm not using the cfl light I have if you'd read ...i HAVE 200w cfl light but ain't using them as people keep telling me not to use light to make the seed pop through soil. .
The light doesn't really matter, I popped a Pakistan Ryder, Juan herer and a desconocida yesterday after one day of being in a rapid rooter under two 300watt leds. But my temps and humidity are around 80/50. Temp is going to be you biggest issue th first few days. Cover it with a plastic cup or a bottle cut in half. That will at least help with humidity.

Seems like to me the cfls you are using is not enough power I'm saying you need more light
Once it breaks through and you have a little seedling, then You don't want too much light, all I do is put a sheer scarf over the bottle, takes care of it until you're ready to flip to the first week of veg(about a week or two after seeds pop)
