I want to grow 4 or 5 auto flowers in a 4x4x8 space using a 400 watt full spectrum led light. Will this be enough light or do I need more.I also have a 6" intake and 6" exhaust fan.I have not built the room yet so it could be made smaller. It is also going to be in a detached shed so keeping enough heat in the room could also be an issue.I have been told the light would be ok just run it 24/7.Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm a newbie

The light and vent will be more than adequate for 4-5 autos. You'll get a lot of diff opinions on the light times. 20/4 seems to be preferred. They need some dark time ok. Things switch gears in the dark and plants will get stale and fail to thrive if they never get it. U ever been forced to sleep in a well lit room? You can but it sucks and before long you'll be dragging ass like your plants looking for a dark corner somewhere.

Biggest piece of advice is ask real LED users BEFORE you buy one. A lot of the cheap crap from China is overrated as far as output and are low quality. Why I/O and fans in a shed?Just wondering. The simpler you keep things the less they screw up.

True on the LED. Spend good money or don't get one. A simple Apollo mh/hps setup will be far cheaper and provide the heat you'll need. That funky pink light is hard to disguise, it will draw attention and it only takes one to ask what's going on with that weird glow?

I thought I would need fresh air coming in and a way to exhaust out of the room.My big concern is keeping it warm enough in the room.Maybe a small space heater with a temperature setting. The fresh air coming in could be as cool as 35 F.I know the led light won't put out much heat, just trying to learn and I will be growing with soil.I thought I would need the exhaust for the smell

In a detached shed air will find its way in and out with passive vents. Heat created by the light rises and vents passively up top and out. Like the soffet under your eaves flows up and out the ridge vent. Control that by the amount of air u let in. I'd plug in a space heater if u need it, sure. Don't start sweating co2 levels or have it in stone that it has to be a certain way. When u start growing you'll change it around 2-3 times guaranteed. Grow man! Get seeds in the soil and you'll figure the rest out as you go. You'll see

Months from now when you have smelly buds then get your carbon filters.

auto`s are pretty dam hardy

The type of hemp they use to make them auto`s grow in russia, as long as they don`t freeze solid they`ll live

Your main choice seems to be lamp shopping and strain shopping for auto seeds now, oh you`ll need pots and something to grow them in, there are all kinds of substrains new growers normally overlook what they are going to grow the plants in and then they come on here asking "whats wrong with my plant help" and so on

So have a good read up on substrains and methods find something that will be practical for you making extra work for yourself normally means in the end you have less bud or the bud is not as nice

Good luck
