Its been a while since I've been on the boards due to serious turn for the worst health wise.

We moved to NM about a month ago, for the soul purpose of getting a Medical MJ card AND primary care, pain mngmnt doctors. I am in a small town outside of T or C but within a 2 hour drive of a few larger cities, Hell, we are in Caballo if it'll help.

My Ohio Drs gave me 3 mnths of post dated scripts for my pain meds, anti depression and other meds. I am on month 3 & haven't had luck finding a pro mm Dr that is an actual Doctor that still sees patients.

I am beginning to feel as if I have 2 choices:
1) Using MM to try and control my pain, WHILE trying to reduce my narcotic use and to help with emotional issues left from brain damage from a massive right brain stroke WITHOUT DOCTORS.

OR
2) continuing on this massive regimen of drugs w/out making any forward progress WITH a DR.

I have not used cannabis in 20+ years and we moved here so I could try using it to feel better and get healthier and now I am worried that I wont find a doctor, I need 1 as I am afraid to not have 1 with all my issues.

Does anyone know of a Primary Care doc that will prescribe? Under NM medical requirements I meet the following:
  • Arthritis
  • Severe chronic pain (Due to severe damage to L3,4,5--S1,2 and C something or other
  • Painful peripheral neuropathy (same as above)
  • Intractable nausea/vomiting
  • Severe IBS
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder ( from massive right brain stroke)

damn girl ...with those symptoms you should be able to get federal medical marijuana....
I wouldn't even know where to start!

It took 6 years to get disability and I really think if it wasnt 4 the emotional control issues from the stroke that happened 4 years after 1st app I would have gotten the same "Although we accept u r in pain we believe that since you can still walk (all bent over but what do they care) and at your age (41 now, 39 @ stroke) you can still find gainful employment blah blah blah....

Research is hard 4 me now, b4 stroke I was pretty smart, now it is like I am "blocked". It took 2.5 hours to write the op and 20 minutes 4 this. Thats why I am asking for help w/drs.

Thanks

Hello-saw your "looking for Dr."-I live in a very RURAL place too, ZUNI Pueblo (38 mi S. of Gallup. I have a Dr in Gallup who has helped me w/Narcotics for 15 yrs(Oxy 80 ER #180, Oxy 30 IR #180, MS 30, #120) AND he has said he would help me obtain MMJ Lic. If interested, know it is about 2 hrs from TorC. Head West through Pie Town/Datil and then through Fence Lake North to Gallup. I'm sure there are Pain Clinics in Alb., but they probably don't serve the MMJ community. One or the other, it seems....There is a New Pain Specialist in Gallup, haven't met or heard....If interested you can call me(I'm selling a Power Chair/Scooter if you know of....) Mike Debatto, 505 782-4870.
