So...Saturday I added a gallon of straight water to my DWC. I was changing my 5-gallon bucket out on Monday, I noticed my lady had drank almost all of the water. The air stones weren't working the water was so low. I lost a lot of bottom branches, fan leaves are curling and crumbling to dust. It's now almost Thursday and it doesn't look better. It doesn't look worse though either. My ph is 5.0 all the time, I'm working with a 400w MH and can switch to HPS, but hoping to get a different plant to grow larger. The room stays around 80F. I'm in the 2nd week of flowering-day 10.

So is this because I forgot to check the water in the bucket???

This is the same plant. Some looks fine, but I'm afraid it won't for long.

Thanks for the help.

The damaged leaves will not repair themselves.
Just keep your water/nute level in your bucket where it should be with water PH of 5.5 to 6 and wait it out.

looks certain ph issue resulting in nute lockout

We got a lot of Colorado growers on this thread. It hasn't gotten worse. I raised the ph today to around 6.0. Will keep you all posted.

around 6 should work but I've found ph drifts up over time and starting at 5.7-5.8 and then let it drift up to 6.1 or so , then bring it back down to 5.7-5.8 . repeat this process through the entire grow.

that sounds good.It will take a week or two for you to notice recovery.

Sucks!! I shouldn't of been so careless. I get so upset everytime i see her. I'll be checking the ph everyday from now on. In doing so she'll never get thirsty again. Rookie mistake...it's my first DWC. My soil grows never had that happen. The worst thing was I had gnats.

Not to jack your thread or go off topic but you should try aerospring(can't call it aeroponics because TRUE aerponics requires droplets to be 5 micron or smaller) . I do DWC and aerospring but have been transitioning over to all aerospring since plants seem to do MUCH better having a spray on the roots and not totally submersed in water, you can see some of the things I've put together here..... https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/346967-my-first-grow.html
I've actually been thinking of building and posting on craigs. I know a bucket , a airstone and a pump is the cheapest way to go and does work but from what I've seen I'm moving away from DWC.

Everything is working out now. BUT...my dog keeps eating my fan leaves. Other than that it's ok. Check it out.

This is my other plant, the one I really enjoy. I'll be cloning it today for the next grow so I can have 2 of this one. I call it Humpty Dumpty.
