Need Help Chosing a Strain

Ill be growing in a 5x2x7 closet

This is what im looking for, and im having a hard time finding the perfect strain.

you want some kind of indica dom strain.... maybe a kush or a kush cross.. kushes stay kinda compact and squat.. and are a pretty good yielder.. if you go to the attitudes seed bank, they have a thing called the seed finder.... all you do is type in what you are looking for, like flowering period, height, etc, and it comes back with what ever strains match your wants.. even if you do not want to order from the attitude, it will still give you an idea of what strains match what you are looking for....

Im mostly worried about the smell.

All i can find is NL.

now i have heard of nl being a low odor strain, but the other day i read a post that said it is stinky as all hell, so i honestly don't know which is the truth.. i am pretty sure that lavender is a low odor strain...
when growing mj, odor is always a problem.. you should check out roseman's diy odor bucket thread.. that thing looks badass... he takes a bucket, drills some holes in it, fill bucket with an inch or two of water mixed with ona, and puts a fan on top of the bucket so that it sucks all the stinky air into the bucket, through the water and out of the holes in the bucket smelling great again... ona is a product name if you don't know... ona stands for odor nuetralizing agent... you should definitely check out the thread.. looks like a great cheap way to help with any odor issues....

Are auto flowering dwarfs any good?

I mean i dont want em cause there easier to grow, but cause they grow lower, and from what ive seen, can produce a larger yield.

If they are any good, is it possible to clone a auto flower plant? Cause ill be taking clones to cut out all the seed BS.

ok.. first things first.. no, it is not possible to clone an auto strain since they don't have a vegetive growth phase.. but i have been looking at autos for some time, and some of them look pretty killer and are getting better everyday... i just recomended autos on another thread almost identical to yours, but he is going with scrog or something like that now..
autos sound like a good way to get your feet wet... i would love to try the auto diesel strain.. i almost got it last year when i was in amsterdam.. autos flower at around three weeks from seed regardless of light period.. you can keep them under 24 hours of light and they will still flower, a pretty cool concept.. i think that you get about an ounce or so from a plant with autoss... i think i even just saw a femed auto in the newest issue of high times, which would be awesome..
imho autos are worth a try, and i think i may even try some in the near future..

Unless i went with a autoflower and then let one of the males mature and save some pollen so i dont have to buy more beans!

i have grown lr2 fem a few times and easy rider fem once, phenos vary greatly ie from fin height 12" to 30", both strains are a lovely smoke, heavy high hit with a big stone after 20 mins or so, taste is lingering and sweet musky. i would say u cud grow 3 in your room but stay away from the ak as they are bigger and branchier, but more yield as well. average yield i gen get 3 oz out of 4 plants, due to dif in size the best have done 34 grams dry, not bad for 10 weeks, id say give em a go bud they are awesome to watch, jus use a hps start to finish and u cant go wrong


i reckon clone or seed u be bout the same on an eight week flowerer. but seeds aint cheap for autos tuff one id say try autos but long term sort out some nice reg seeds

nice info sweetsmoker.. i have thought about doing an all auto grow, and your info was very helpfull.. i would also agree on the time being about the same with clones and seeds with autos... its still about 8 weeks regardless..
like you said, you could always get a male and make your own seeds... something that i always wanted to do..
iranian auto is the name of the one auto i just saw in hightimes.. 100% females, and it said 100grams dried.. it has a like for drgreenthumb.com.. definitely sounds like something worth checking out...

Making seeds sounds like a cool idea, and i dont think males need much light, i think i could put em in my veg box if im not mistaken

When i germ, i want to just put the seeds in rockwool starter cubes and then move them to the Flower room.

Ill be using DWC in the flower room, so should i use a similar, and smaller DWC for the beans?

Or whats the best way to germ em? Its my first hydro grow
