Hey guys, well I thought that I would be able to do this whole grow without nutrients but I think my baby is showing me now that it does need nutrients.

It seems like she went through the vegetative stage without nutrients just fine but now it seems she is in the flowering phase and needs nutrients.
The problem is I don't have any nutrients so pretty much my question is if I don't feed this plant any nutrients and just keep on watering it without anything will it die.
If I get a flowering nutrient what would u guys get. I was thinking it's between Fox Farm and the GH brand.

I would only be able to get one kind, not the whole 3 parts. So it would be between fox farm big bloom and gh flora bloom.
One more thing, what's the difference between fox farm big bloom and tiger bloom. Would I really need to get big bloom? Thanks guys.

i see purple stems and nitrogen deficiency. id get a pk only nutrient and use coffee or some other easy to find/water soluble as the nitrogen until its cleared up. it's just depleted after growing so much beginning of flower. and the pk should probably be more p than k.

it could die if you let it go but itd be after it finishes some whispery wonky flowers.

no clue about premixed liquid fertilizers though. not something i ever got into. $$$$$

In my opinion, if i was getting one or the other, i'd get Tiger. Big bloom isnt good as a standalone, more for micros as I understand. Id use them together if at all possible. When I used fox farms, I did grow big and big bloom for veg, then tiger bloom and big bloom for flower. Good luck!

FF trio is a 2 part nutrient so you'll need a bottle of both big bloom and tiger blood at minimum plus you'll need to add macros like cal & mag. If you simply transplanted to a bigass pot full of fresh or even recycled soil you probably could avoid using nutrients at all if that is your goal.

He's rite above ^^^richard I'm talking about......big bloom is the only organic out of the ff trio ...that's why you can use so much in a general and heavy feeding compared to the others on the back of the suggested amount to use

Hey buddy thanks for the reply. I have no idea about getting just a pk nutrient, I got some advice from someone that told me to get fox farm tiger bloom because she is in the flowering stage right now. I think if I ordered some ff tiger bloom and started using it right away it will make my plant nice and green again. What do you think about that?

flora nova bloom - lucas formula FTW!!!!bongsmilie
So you think I should just get flora nova bloom instead of ff? I think that would be even a better idea because it's cheaper than ff I think, so I may go this route. My plant is getting pretty yellow, so if I ordered it today I wouldn't get it for about a week and a half.

Once I start feeding it the bloom do you think it will make it healthy again? Cuz I really don't want this baby to die. Thanks

Thanks buddy, I'm torn between the flora nova and fox farm but at least I know what to get now cuz of you guys so thanks a lot.
I just seen that it costs 20 for flora nova and they sell pints of tiger bloom that's only 9 bucks.
I'm def gonna get the pint because I don't need that much so I'm glad I came across that.

Yeah.. thats 1/2 the price I see it for. I went to roots organics nutes after I ran out of the first Fox Farms. I seem to have better luck keeping everything healthy. Not the only change I made though, so hard to say. Good luck!

Hey guys, one more thing. If I let my plant like this and didn't get nutes for it, how long do you guys think it would take for her to whither away and die.
It will take over a week for my nutes to get here. When I start my first feeding I'm supposed to put 2 teaspoons in, would you guys just put in half that because it's her first feeding.

I doubt many of you would know this but about how long will the leaves turn back into a nice green color and the plant is back to healthy once I start feeding it. I was thinking it would take a couple weeks before I notice a difference. Thanks guys.

Do you have access to fish emulsion? A foliar feeding would really help that poor plant. It might stink up your house a bit, but worth it in my opinion. The Alaska brand smells better than most...and it's cheap.

Sup ed, I use Fox farm but I use the whole line. And I get most of it at ace hardware cheapest in town 16/18 $ a quart.
The damaged leaves may not recover but some new ones will grow.
The coffee grains is a good idea you should do that today , the plants can absorb any N left in the grains . Coffee is great in compost, its ready as soon as it cools off.

What does it mean if there are redish or purple steams on fan leaves ?

She could definitely do with some nitrogen. Uh. Start off with only a small dose. This is typically dependant on the size of the pot you're growing in. Check the labels and decide from there how much to use. Less is more. Especially when using synthetic fertilizers. Which can mess with your pH. This can in turn present a number a problems. Either deficiencies. Or over abundance of certain nutrients. Good soil drainage is a must. As mary breathes through her roots.
