Need Help??? Ask away!

Here is the hood I built. I doubled up each socket. I wish I could afford stronger bulbs right now. My 23w bulbs are barely providing enough light for my smallest plant. The other two are getting so big they've got 8 branches off the main stalk which are now producing their own leaves. I tied those bitches down even more today to keep all my girls the same height. I can't wait to start feeding them.

Topping or LST'ing are much easier to do than Fimming, so I'd do either of those or maybe even both...
I'm not much of a fan of lollipopping, which is what the hydo guy recommended, so I would have to say no to that...

SLB
Alright ill give topping and lst a try and for sure I won't lollipop, thanks for the good info

I've gotta question I have three palnts going now Monday they will be 3 weeks from sprout and 2 weeks from transplant the first week they was doing good grew 2 sets of leaves up to 5 sets now. But this last week they haven't done nothing but the fan leaves are getting bigger. The new growth that started grow has stopped with 2 leaves starting to come out but they are not growing at all. Was just wondering if this was normal thanks in advance. I can post pictures later if I need to.

This is the carbon that i have http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgu...:0&tx=23&ty=81

i was wondering where i could get some basic co2 supplement to use. like a water mix or somthing. i dont want to mess with a tank but idk where to get some water to spray them with that has some co2 in it.
You can spray them with carbonated water, which will supply them with some co2, but not a lot...Check the DIY section, there should be some diy co2 generators there!

Since this is my first grow and I'm completely at a loss on the whole nutrient process, how much and how often do I give my ladies nutes? I know you've said to start at 1/4 the recommended dosage then up it every time I feed them in 1/4 increments. Do I feed the same nutrients during flowering or do they have to be switched to something with a different NPK? When do I stop feeding all together? Also when do I flush? Just two weeks prior to harvest?

Sorry for so many questions, and I know you've covered this a few times in previous parts of this thread but I'm baked and just woke up to turn the lights on for the day... did I mention I need a timer? LOL
You'll need to switch from a vegging fert.(one with high N) to a flowering fert.(one with higher P and K).
Stop feeding at least 2 weeks before harvest and begin flushing then!
It's no problem at all, I'm more than willing to answer any question, even if I've covered it before!
You should really get a timer man, I know how it feels to wake up at 5 every morning and it sucks ass!!!

Hello Bob, I have a ? How long I should dry the planst up side down?
Did you trim them yet? If you didn't, I'd trim off the leaves now, it gets harder when it's all dried up.
Time depends on your bud and drying environment, but I'd say at least a week...

Hey SLB. So These are my two babies. They're about 3 and a half weeks flowering now. I was just wondering how they were lookin or any advice. Also, is it normal for the fan leaves to be droopy like the 2nd plants? Do these both look like hybrids to you? Maybe one more indica and one more sativa? Thanks in advance.
They look great for 3 weeks, good job! +rep
The droop seems like the kind caused by slightly overwatering...
They both look like indica-dominant hybrids to me!

You can do that, but make sure the roots have room to grow
I don't think the pads would work, and I can't see the other image cuz it's so small, but activated carbon pellets from a fish store will work...

Thanks SLB. I'm going to try to stick four 42w 6500k spectrum bulbs this Friday when I get paid again. Right now I'm running all 2600k which I know is not recommended for veg.

When I start feeding nutes this Friday do I feed them every watering (3-4 days)? I'll hopefully have a ph meter by the end of the week too.

This experiment has turned from a science project into a hobby lol. Thank you for all your help!

Hello, I have a 3 week old seedling thats in trouble. This is my first grow ever. I'm using a mix of MG soil, peat moss, and perlite in my mix. The first three sets of starter leaves started turning yellow and then looked like they were getting burned so I cut them off. So I backed off the nutes and flushed with 3x pot volume of bottled water. The leaves are still yellowing as shown in the pictures. Also in the picture, you can see that the main stem is bent, but healed and there is a twist tie holding down the top of the stem. She didn't start to yellow until after the stem was bent. I don't want the plant to die on me but I'm afraid the MG soil mix is too much for it. The remainder of the mix is in a large pot that is flushed on a daily basis with rain fall runoff from the roof of my house.

Would it be a good idea to top it and use the topped cutting as a clone in some flushed soil or should I wait a bit longer?
