i am trying out cannabis cultivation . and i sprouted two seedlings in my closet three weeks ago .i don't have much in the way of ventilation yet i just keep the grow room door open a lot of the times . (i have no need to hide what i do) .i use three 13 watt red cfls and one 120 watt blue .my plants haven't done much since sprouting. or at least in my eyes they haven't .i guess i am asking some one with experience to take a look at my pics and let me know if i have something there or not . and please don't ask about the circle piece of plastic around the plant . i heard it helps the stem grow stronger.

They look ok to me, but whats with the plastic around the plant?

get the light on top of em.. if you are using cfl's, at this stage the light should be about 1" above the plants.. by bringing the light closer, the plants don't have to stretch to the light.. when you transplant, just plant em a bit deeper and you should be fine.. other than the stretching, they look ok so far for babies :)

they don't look too bad.. let me just ask you one ?.. how far away do you have the lights form them? with those cfl's, you wanna get them pretty close to the plants for best growth... at that stage i would say around four inches or so away from them, and move them to around an inch or so as they get a lil bigger..

Hmmmm, those r pretty tiny if ya ask me. Make sure ur lites r good and close to em. Im talkin within a few inches. The soil also appears to be pretty drenched. I dunno how much waterin uve done before that watering, but dont overwater lil sprouts cause they are easily stuntable at that stage. But all that said, not sayin that they wont fill in and bush out, but make sure those lites are ridin their asses the whole time hehe :) Hope this helped a bit bud.

i don't know how to specify to a person yet . but the plastic is there to hold the stem up a bit better with out having to do the stick and string method .i have a buddy who as never grown but insists that it works . so i did it only to one plant . and thanks for the much needed lighting advice and closure . i did actually water them a bit before i took the pics . the first pic is from week one and the other two from week 2-3 .. but im on my way to move the lights closer .
if you have anymore advice please tell me . i will post more pics if needed . (for advice ) .

Does that one in the cup have drainage holes in the bottom? It looks like the waters just sitting in there not going anywhere.

Those don't look bad, but they are nowhere near where they should be at 3 weeks from sprout.

well the thing is with that is i only want to continue one plant and was planning to go put the other out side . but i forgot about it in the closet and it kept growing . and yea i thought they should be bigger for three weeks . but then again this is like a trial run for me . i've already got some fox farm nutrients and soil on the way . and more than likely an earth box . i read that it eliminates over / under watering , and watering is one of those things that are easy to fuck up . so i might go safe with an earth box .

another question if you know my lighting set up .. is it enough ? (1)120 watt cfl BLUE. and (3 ). 13 watt cfls .RED and the lights are now 1 to 2 and a half inches from the lights .

For a couple plants that'll do just fine. The more light the better, but what you have is plenty at this age.

Dude puts some holes on the bottom of the plastic container. In the second and third picture its like a flood in there. Not good.

not at the time it didn't have drainage holes . when they first sprouted they had really bad lighting and not until a few days ago did i get a 120 watt cfl . since then more leaves have been developing . but i was wondering if you have any advice on a watering schedule . ? like i'm kind of paranoid about under or over watering my plants .
