Need advice!!

Okay so I've been reading and reading and reading trying to figure what I need to start growing. The space I will be using is gonna be 30"x30".

Let me start off with a little more detail about my situation. I'm currently unemployed so I need some extra cash and my own source of quality bud. I currently have a 300 dollar VISA, 500 dollar credit at Home Depot and 250 at Wal-Mart. I'm trying to figure out how to best use this money to grow the maximum amount of buds in my space. It's also going to be a stealthy grow.

Here are some of the questions I have -

Should I invest in an HPS light from the local hydroponics store - if so how many watts would be enough for the amount of space I have?

Should I go soil for my first grow, because I'm going to be depending on this grow to be a success to pay off the credit cards I'll be using and I don't wanna accidentally mess up my plants due to inexperience.

I need an opinion from an experienced grower as to what materials I should buy and where on my budget, you guys rock! bongsmilie

#1 Yes, if you want quality and no disappointments pick up a HPS. For 30x30" i say 250w will do... Kit is maybe a little more the 200 bucks new.

#2 Soil is easier for a first grow and not as hard on the cash flow. all depends on how you want to keep your ladies hydrated, and that could depend on a lot of things.

As for yoru budget and items to get, you need to first start reading on how guys here do things in small spots and visualize the best setup for you. Then get into item by item..

Alright cool, I just wanted to make sure I could use a HPS in the space I had. I plan on picking up an auto-flowering strain (I'm thinking low ryder), so I could pretty much leave the HPS from seedling to harvest 18/6 right?

Also, how many plants should I grow inside of that space and is there any kind of soil from Home Depot that would be good?? Thanks!! :bigjoint:

six plants that amount of space you will need a way to effectivly cool the area as hps put off quite a bit of heat
