Need advice on my plant

I bought a blue dream clone teen.I put her in a five gallon bucket.Whit holes on the bottom and side.but when I ad water to her it appears to go straight to the. bottom and I can see the water holding in the container that I had the bucket sitting on is this normal or do I have too many holes in the bottom because the top still feels dry

The water is likely running down the sides of the bucket and not soaking into the soil. Next time start very slow with a little water so that it soaks through the top, then start adding more water.

A five gal container is wayyyy too big for a clone lad....

Take one of those red plastic solo cups you'd get at a party, pierce a few holes in the ass of it & away you go.

FYI, a clone will need humidity. More than light, set it on a heat mat or something similar for a week or so, transplant at 10 days to a bigger container. Something like a gal. You can place lolly pop sticks around the cup & then wrap in cling film to build the humidity.

Five gallon would be something I'd flower a plant in.
