I have same size tent. I started with a 400w HP's. Pulled around 10-12 ounces off 4 plants. Total not each. I recently bought a 600w HP's to make 1000 total. Got 6 plants. Crammed in there. Hopefully I pull more

There is a hassle with Gavitia's in that they,

Gavita expect you to replace the inner reflector every year

I had mine for over a year before I knew that... tried cleaning it

and crumbled in my hand, a very thin alloy type, highly reflective

I'm working on a cheaper solution than the $us100.00/£50.00 replacement

but it would be better if I aimed my foilar s at the plant, than the light ....lol

Gavita's would be great but any 1,000 watt will do great fuck LED's!!
shit put a diamond series 1000w led agents any 1000 w hps or mh and that 1000 w led will grow moor plats and bigger buds and also do it for 15 years strong, hell put a 600w ds led agents a 1000w hps/mh and that 600 w led will kick both there ass..... this is from a ds 200w led week 6 and a half

So no one has heard of or had experience with the panels I said or have a suggestion on an led within a 1000$ that would work for a 5x5 like I said heat might be an issue with HPS/MH going as stealth as I can so less fans plugs and noise the better if I absolutely can not produce sufficient amount of quality with a 1000$ led in a 5x5 tent and that seems to be what I'm being told then I would go with an hps/mh setup I also figure led are the new technology and seem to be going in the right direction even if they have not won everyone over seems silly to start a brand new grow with old tech if I have the means to get the new tech just my thoughts please any info is appreciated like to pull the trigger on something soon

Would love to see you do a grow blog with your LED setup.

I have looked at LED's several times, but just can't bring myself to the price tag
It's the one in my signature line.

If you're just doing it to save power, save your money unless your rates are really high, like in Hawaii.

If you're doing it to reduce heat, you'll notice better relative results the larger your op is. Tent growers will notice a difference but it won't save them any money. OTOH, Commercial growers will save a ton on AC costs.

If you're doing it to get better spectrum, there is little out there that's proven to grow better plants.

I did it for all the above reasons, plus a few more; I'm an indoor cultivation technology specialist and I need to be at the cutting edge of new technologies in order to evaluate them for clients. I do this kind of research all the time, always with an eye towards reducing the per pound cost to grow the product. COB LED will definitely help in this regard and I'll be quantifying their ROI vs other lighting.

Of the ones you mentioned, I'd recommend the Tasty LED panel with the CXB3590 COB LED inside. None of the rest of those panels are worth another look unless they use the same chip.

If you price shop for DE fixtures, remember that the Gavita delivers more light to the canopy- and that you better have 8-12000 BTu worth of cooling for every thousand watt DE lamp you plan to run! Suddenly, COB LED starts looking a lot more affordable, doesn't it?

them lights pay for there self all the way, you get years and of strong growing out of a good led light, think of all the hps lights you will go thrugh be for you ever need to get a new led light then add it all up plus a 450w high end led light will kill a 600w hps in a grow while saving on the power bill bill no matter how small a grow room is your saving almost half the cause then if running hps and not buying lights all the time...
