NC House Bill 1380--The Medical Marijuana Act!

Bumping for a great cause :hump:
Dude Im sorry but whats the deal with the legislature?

They dont let you listen live, thru internet streaming on certain bills, being passed around. Whats up with that?

We the people should be able to access whats going on in those chambers, from the comfort of our home. Yes or No?

I want to listen on whats going on w/ HB 1380

But their website doesnt allow me to enter the court room thru internet streaming. What a phony legislature.

Just checked out the NC Gen Assembly website...the June House Committee on Health meeting does not include HB 1380 or 1383. Bummer. I found a mailing list though that will supposedly contact me via email with "meeting notices." Apparently they meet every Tuesday and Thursday at Noon...

I'm still scouring the website for any/all info. As always I'll pass along what I find.

Saying it again---I am so damned tired of this gnawing feeling, which is a constant presence in my life---that I would be treated like a CRIMINAL for merely smoking a joint or growing a PLANT that is a source of great relief for me and my pain.

Ask yourself these questions:
  • Do you watch the direction that America is being taken in and feel powerless to stop it?
  • Do you believe that your voice isn’t loud enough to be heard above the noise anymore?
  • Do you read the headlines everyday and feel an empty pit in your stomach…as if you’re completely alone?
If you’ve answered YES, then you’ve fallen for the Wizard of Oz lie. While the voices you hear in the distance may sound intimidating, as if they surround us from all sides—the reality is very different. Once you pull back the curtain, you realize that there are only a few people pressing the buttons, and their voices are weak. The truth is that they don’t surround us at all.
We surround them.

As Jerry pointed out above..website hasnt changed status for HB 1380...sucks..I'm growing impatient..They keep talking about cutting this, cutting that to save the state money, cutting education and crap..Well, how about doing something to MAKE the state money?? Duh...Its a no brainer to me...

I subscribed to the house and senate emails..I have it linked to my phone..sheesh, I get 6-7 emails from them daily..

Hey Jerry, I'm very interested in knowing the up-to-the-minute details on this as well. Would it be possible to get information about that mailing list?

Also, I tell ALL my friends to contact their representative about HB 1380 and about, oh, 100% of them say, "I didn't even know there was a bill like that out there in the NC Legislature! But yeah, I'll gladly support that!" Is there any collective of concerned citizens that anyone knows of publicizing this? I would GLADLY sport a bumpersticker or the like to just get the word out there!
