I went and met a dr there. The dr asked me about my pain, then turned to his computer to fill out the paperwork. I talked for about 10 min, he then turned to me and informed me he hadn't been listening. I told him I do not smoke and rely on topicals and edibles. He looked at me again, without even a word, slid me a paper for 1gpd and told me to go talk to their people downstairs. I took it as I wanted to be legal, but my actual consumption is so much higher than that. My LP didn't receive my paperwork for 7 weeks. Place is a joke, don't trust them, and would not recommend.

I also heard something about them needing a renewal or follow up visit every 3 months. Not too sure if that is the case or not...
I only use edibles, and vape due to lung issues so it will be interesting to see what they say about it. Guy on the phone was super nice and informative which is more than I can say about a few other places we called...

i would ask how long an edible lasts for pain. they should tell you around 3-6 hours....then i would ask if it's 4 hours and (if you have a 1 g edible equivalent) then the 3 g is out the door...you'd need more.
what happens if your pain worsens and you have taken your 1 g edible? you need more for breakthrough.
i don't get these small amounts. chronic pain conditions need edibles things like that. smoking is nice and is good for breakthrough but the effects don't last as long so again you'd need more than 3 a day. i would like to see these people who make the rules try to get by on 3 g a day

At first I was really aprehensive about going, even though the doctor I have been dealing with for the past 2 years is involved in this clinic now. My previous experience with clinics of this nature were with Greenleaf which was great but unfortunately came to an end due to the Colleges stance on telemedicine, and Oasis in Calgary which was one of the worst experiences of my life
I showed up, told them that the doctor who has been treating me for the past 2 years reffered me, that I am already growing and not interested in L.P's.
They had no problem giving me my usual 5g/day and didn't try to push me to an LP.
Now, my experience might be different than someone who is completely new to them and who regular doctor has no affiliation with them, but thankfully I had a good experience this go around.
Tonight I have to fill out the HC forms, send them into the clinic and they will submit my forms for me.
I'll keep everyone posted on how things go from here on out.

I told the guy on the guy on the phone i was only interested in personal production bought woild still use an LP for in the meantime. He seemed great and also auggested reviewing the checklist and regulations for pers9nal cultivation.

i hope it works out for you all they way..hopefully you will be able to grow your own so you can fine tune what works for you or get a DG to do the same.

Please ask the doctor what his maximum doses for other medications are. Does he limit grandma to an ineffective dose of heart meds? Is she required to only fill the prescription where directed by him? Does the price change according to need? I'd be really interested in the response. Ask him who he is going to use for an ATM once rec weed is available at the 7-11.

What do you mean dont sign up for an LP? I dont plan on using one but I know those cunts get a kick back for signing people up do they not? Wondering if they wont try to stick a few fingers in me if they know that I have no plans to use an LP and only wish to grow my own, know what I mean?

Very hesitant on starting to vape again with my medical condition. That being said, I would think that for them to give me a 1g a day would be completely useless as I will be needing to have enough product to make my own products. Anywho, we shall find out very soon and Ill report back with the ruling.

The only reason I would require an LP is to get me through the meantime. That's it. I have 2 different inhalers which (thanks to no extended health benefits) cost me around $350 a month just to breath. Not to mention a sick daughter to pay for as well so if I can cut a cost, even by $50 a month, its a nonissue. Aside the fact these things have side effects, and chemical ingredients, I am supporting big pharma by paying for these fucking things just so I can breathe. You tell me whats the lesser of the two evils? Or should I just not medicate in any way so that I can not support the "big machine"?. No offense but if you want to judge me for my decisions, go ahead. But better yet, free to PM me, I'll give your my address, and you can send me meds then if that works for you. Seriously. Because I have zero other fucking options man, and it pisses me off to no to have no options and then be judged for it.
Trust me, I salute you for bringing an ongoing awareness to the community of the bullshit that LP's bring to this system and setup however lets not forget that there are allot of people like me who havent been growing for the last decade, and/or sitting on a freezer full of meds to supply their needs.

Honestly I feel for ya bro. I hope you and your daughter get feeling better. But instead of going the lp route I would looking to commpassion clubs like bccc or lpc all clubs will ship to your door with the same or better pricing and most show more compassion than any legal producer ever would.

So just thought I would share my experience with Natural Health Services...
Called and waited about 2 weeks for an appointment. Date finally came, explained my health situation their employee who then recommended 3g a day. I explained that I am consuming a large amount of edibles, not to mention vaping, and also will be wanting to explore making oil for myself which would require allot of material but she insisted that was more than enough for the time being. Also said they aren't giving anyone over 3g until their follow up consultation.
She also began by saying that she was going to be asking questions on behalf of the "doctor" but I never saw him/her and she came up with a recommendation all by herself so wtf is that?
I told her I didn't need an LP, but she explained that if I planned to grow I would need starting materials as well as a supply of meds to get through until the crop was finished. I explained that there was no way I could afford to purchase my required amounts, let alone pay for overpriced clones/seeds. Didn't seem to be her problem
I inquired about what to do if I found that the dosage wasn't high enough, and she said that could be reviewed at a later date. If thats the case would it not fuck up all of my HC paperwork if they increased my dosage after the fact?
So the kick in the pants is that I need to pick an LP, then wait 2 weeks, only to have to physically drive 600+ km each way to Calgary to get the personal production papers signed. They said I need to physically do it in person, regardless of the fact that I am not in the province.
Anywho... I feel success and defeat at the same time. 3g a day would be good if I was smoking it for a sleep aid, or something a bit more minor, however I feel like its not going to be suited to my specific situation. Pretty sure I signed a request to release medical forms when I signed up, yet they never bothered to review my case, x-rays, or any info other than the questionnaire I filled out prior to my meeting.
Why the fuck did I have to jump through hoops only to talk to someone who isn't a doctor, who is only an employee, and has no relevant healthcare experience?
I have to give them credit that I didn't have to pay any fees, so for someone who only requires a small GPD amount or who only wished to purchase through an LP, their service would be a perfect fit.
Wondering if anyone has any input? I feel like I should be pressing the pause button with these guys and saying fuck it and pull the trigger on mftgroup or mcrci. I know for a fact that those companies actually take the time to hear you out, dont pressure you into LP's, and are in the $300 range. If paying that price means getting a dosage that will infact be able to supply me then that seems to be the right direction to go does it not?
$300 is a large bill for us, however so is driving 1200 km in the winter to get a piece of tree signed.

i use MCRCI and i believe you could get more through them s long as you have the back up.
if you go through them, try for 20 a day and then negotiate from there. my script is 14 a day from there. the Dr favours edibles over smoking so you're good there

I will definitely be calling them. I like the fact that they have an office in Kamloops (im pretty sure).
If i was able to smoke and/or I had the space for veg, I wouldn't have an issue with the 3g a day. It would suck having to sacrifice plant count just to be able to have a few moms and clones too. This system is so fucked...

Here's my suggestion. I'm actually trying to help you, so don't attitude me brother. Most of this is not directed at you unless you drop to your knees.
Get your med card and tell them you want to grow...even if you don't. DON'T settle for less...argue it if they want to ( LP ) you. If you can't win that let them sign you up to an LP. Then you buy elsewhere...see. If you choose the easy route and order LP weed then to me you are a cunt capitulator .....sucking the meat stick of your master. LP customers have done the wrong thing and i don't intend to start liking them now. Lazy suck up weasels blowing other weasels.
