fuckin' genius...



Even if the gearing doesn't work in automotive applications, it'll find uses in things like cranes...Anything heavy that needs smooth transition.

It is funny how much of that stuff never sees the light of day, however. :)
It all depends on critical-mass consciousness. When the right idea is recalled at the right time by the right people in solving a problem (or finding a solution), it will see the light. But in order for that to happen, the idea needs to bounce around in the "ether of information" (for lack of a better term) until enough minds have been struck by it; like excited electrons and photons. There is a threshold energy whereby the idea escapes from the potential well.
