Hey all,
I topped and LST'd this girl early on. It's a "Speed Haze" (SSH x Jack Herer)
2 week into flower. Grown in a micro-cab using a single 67w 2700K CFL positioned
horizontally inside a home-made reflector. ;-)_~

I think you should increase your lighting by at least 20w even though it sounds like nothing it makes a big difference... check out my grow although your still better of than be because I'm waiting for my grow lights to arrive :(

I'd like to use a 125w CFL, ideally but I can't find one for a good price.
I'm running this grow on a "shoe-string budget" and so far so good.
I've searched e-bay and found these 125w CFL lamps for no less than $34 bucks:-( each.

Thanks, well without going into too much detail- I simply can't get any more light to the plant ATM. She is getting about 67w/sq.ft but
undoubtedly could use more. The buds will prolly end up less compact but still MUCH better than the local mid-grade garbage. I have some 10-60-10 bloom fertilizer that I'm going to add next month to help fatten up the buds. Wish me Luck ;-)_~

Well my plant is now 3 wks. in but there's been a problem. The plant stretched SO Much that
half of her outgrew my small cab's (vertical space). I had no choice but to prune her severely. This is what I have left. I hope she will STOP Stretching!!!speed haze.jpg Sorry about the crappy cell-phone pic~
I snapped the 2 main branches horizontally after this pic so I could fit her LANKY ASS back inside my tiny bathroom cabinet ;-)_~

I love hazes. But they stretch like a mo-fo - especially when they don't get enough light. If you could find some way to squeeze another 67w bulb in there, you would be rewarded immeasurably. That SSHxJH will continue to grow and stretch for another 7-8 weeks, so you've probably picked the wrong strain to grow in such a small environment. Next time, try a nice, short indica. Something that will finish in 6-7 weeks would be ideal.

Sound advice PC, and I agree. I had to move this girl from her original environment (250w hps)
because she was freezing to death in an attic crawlspace. Ended up moving her into a small bathroom
cabinet. Update: I'm supercropping her now and things look promising. I'm starting some more
Speed Haze seeds ATM and planning to grow them on my balcony this summer. What would be
the best grow-style to keep the height in check? I plan on topping and supercropping as needed ;-)_~
