city water in my area is 7.5 to 8 and 550ppm if meter is to be believed, with chloramine l believe it, use every watering and no lockout if ph meter is working proper. Vinegar, lemon juice or ph down was all l used. And no buildup! Dont water to runoff either. If ph meter was spot on l would have no issues at all. Drops removed all doubt meter was reading 3 points too high. So l was feeding acidic with almost no side effects. Until it was too long in zone. 2.4 and 3.4 were my 5.4 and 6.4. Big differance now. Using soiless medium with mycorhyzae. Promix hp m.

About how long/how many gallons did the filters last you with the smaller unit?
Another thing you did remind me of is waste. I’m curious how much waste the small one produces(and water quality I’d imagine would have a large factor in determining that) I don’t want to blow through 5 gallons of water for 1 gallon of filtered water.
You know you think you got it all figured out and then bam 3 weeks from clone receiving you find out how fuck you are lol I just never really thought of water as a factor, waters water right lol smh obviously not for hydro lol fuckin noobs
It's been a few years, but I think like every 6 months when using roughly 15 gallons per day. It wasn't so much the rising PPMs that made me change them out, it was the massive reduction of flow over time. And the rising PPMs. The unit I have now cut my waste water cost in half if not more.

It's crazy that it was off by that much. What kind of meter were you using?

Man Don’t remind me dude I fucking killed three clones of black jack super lemon Mac fucking with the bubbler system not adjusting the pH some of the roots weren’t getting wet because they were top route instead of bottom rooted man
i think I understand that. The lack of water to root issue is why I deceived to set up a top drip system originally I wasn’t gonna but them I’m like well how the fuck the plant suppose to get to the water when it’s a clone and well 100$ later I had the top drip feed materials ordered lol

Yeah man in the well water out here is pretty rough it’s about eight 8 1/2 yeah for some weird reason I couldn’t get the PH Right and come to find out my little first generic yellow meter was off by 48, new clones, new bucket with 5.5 ph and no issues, I did have to turn the blackjack bubbler, Into a two system unit so bubbles and drips so I’ve got a sandstone in there hooked up to my pump

It was fucking sickening to watch super lemon Mac just wither and die do because I couldn’t get her no fucking water to the roots plus trying to fucking figure out a way to get the PH right I couldn’t get it at first! was just so
