Hey all its been quite a year growing and smoking a lot of the new genetics that are readily available online from attitude and nirvana, I also revisted some 90's genetics with skunk#1 and dj shorts blueberries and tried out some of our local strains here but Im sure you guys dont care about that. Im going to break down for you my experiences as briefly and thoroughly as possible with the widely availiable strains for the world so heres the start of my STRAINLOG!
Im growing with fox farms soil with happyfrog and dolomite lime, I veg with a 1,000MH and flower with a 600W HPS and a 1,000W HPS - I use 3.5 Gallon Pots - I use molasses and the fox farm nutrient lineup with RO WATER - Im an amateur grower this has been my first year as a medical grower, I studied for about 6 months before I started.
I will try to update this thread as much as possible to keep it going.. I am growing testing, and curing blue mystic and og kush#18 right now so they will be in the next update, nirvana northern lights will be on here very soon also I am just getting past a 2 month cure with it on the 17th plant so I am giving it until at least a 2 month cure for not just all strains on here but every plant of that strain I grow.
I will rate on a scale of 1 to 10 - mind you my taste pallet is not very wide and my sense of smell is not to great either but Ill do my best
Barney's Farm Vanilla Kush -
Veg Time: 4 weeks to 2 months
# of Plants grown: 11
Avg Yield: 1.5 to 2.1oz
Flavor: 4 (predominantly a floral minty flavor)
Aroma: 5
Finish Time: 8 to 10 weeks
Calyx to leaf ratio: Amazing
Size of Plants: Very short - thick stalks - huge fan leaves
Potency: 7.5
Appearence of dried buds: Rock hard - perfectly round - dark green with sometimes blue and red hues - thick - small

Training: None
# of pheonotypes: 2
Vigor: 3 (Very slow in veg and little to no stretch, painfully slow)
Barney's Farm Sweet Tooth -
Veg Time: 2 months
# of Plants grown: 5
Avg Yield: 2.5 to 4.5 ounces (ridiculously high yield for me)
Flavor: 2 (barely much flavor to any pheno, taste like sweet watermelon)
Aroma: 2 (Aroma is low and not very strong)
Finish Time: 10 to 13 weeks
Appearence of dried buds: dense buds - average thickness - pale green - low to medium resin
Calyx to leaf ratio: Average
Size of Plants: This is a 3ft plant for me it has amazing side branching, needs a lot of room and side lighting to do well imho, I wouldn't mind to do it outdoors.
Potency: 4
Stretch: 1/3rd
Training: None
# of pheonotypes: 4 (very unstable in my luck)
Vigor: 5

Potency: 8 - Good for pain (anti-inflammatory effects)

Aroma: 8.5 - aroma is very strong you can smell it 100 yards away

Appearence: Orange and really dark green almost black thick resinous buds. not incredibly dense - somewhat thin
Size of Plants: This was a 2.5ft plant for me in the end it grew very well in my enviroment, it reminds me of growing white widow, excellent cross about 50/50 india sativa.

Avg Yield: 2.1 ounces (average yield for me)
Potency: 10 - this is a two hitter quitter even for someone with high tolerance
Flavor: 10 - Extremely flavorful cotton candy sweet and fruity
Aroma: 10 - makes any area smell of fruit cocktail
Finish Time: 9.5 weeks
Calyx to leaf ratio: Great
Size of Plants: This was a 2.5ft plant for me in the end it grew very well in my enviroment, the buzz is very much like white russian, this is for heavy hitting indica and the most potent strain I grew in 2010.
Stretch: Double
Appearence: Very thick and chunky, really sticky, oranges, reds, and greens, very nice natural shape.

Veg Time: 1 week to 2 months
# of Plants grown: 19
Avg Yield: 1 to 2 ounces (average to low yielding for my environment)
Potency: 7.0 - high amount of trichomes and resin (awesome for medical cancer, pain , nausea)
Flavor: 5 - Sour Orange
Appearence: Lime Green dense buds with bright orange hairs - classic skunk#1 appearence with a lot more trichomes
Aroma: 5 - Not incredibly stinky but the smell of sour or orange is there.
Finish Time: 8 to 10 weeks
Calyx to leaf ratio: Average
Size of Plants: This plant can get very big but its a slow veger and doesnt have a lot of stretch so its really up to you, 2 to 2.5ft is the norm but it can get up to 5 or 6 easily
Stretch: about double
Training: None - its such a slow vegger I never used any training
# of pheonotypes: 1 (very stable I found all plants to be uniform coming from 10 seeds initially)

# of Plants grown: 5 (from 1 seed so every plant has been identical)

Aroma: 8 - Very Sweet Fruity Smell
Finish Time: 11 weeks

Appearance of dried bud: very thick sativa orangish pink like bubblegum
Size of Plants: This plant has always been grown bush style with topping, fim, and/or LST
Stretch: controlled with training..very little
Training: TOP, LST, AND/OR FIM
# of pheonotypes: 1 (only grew 1 seed and cloned it for 4 generations)

Appearence of dried bud: dark green - doesnt look impressive at all just like any old indica buds very little trichomes or resin

Avg Yield: 1.8oz (about average for me - a bit on the low side but not by much)
Potency: 7.3 - hard to give it an 8 but this bud really doesnt deserve a 7, its a unique buzz with strong euphoria and giddyness
Flavor: 9 - strong lemon taste, taste like lemon pledge skunk
Aroma: 8 - strong lemon pledge
Finish Time: 13 to 16 weeks for my phenotype - I like 13 the best
Calyx to leaf ratio: bad
Size of Plants: 5 to 9ft
Stretch: keep on keepin on this vigorous skunk will need to be tied every which way
Training: LST i would almost say is required unless you have vertical lighting set up

Vigor: 10 (Incredibly vigorous sativa - clones fast - gets huge)
