My state might be the first to fully legalize marijuana / Cannabis! Seattle ROCKS!

There's a lot of good ... and a lot of bad about the bill they wrote for Washington to legalize and sell Cannabis in stores just like Alcohol. Regulated and taxed like crazy ... but still legal. It's a big step. I don't support this bill ... so I hope it doesn't pass really ... because a new bill will come along that's even better.

The DUI issues really got me because there is not enough science shown to the public to prove that their testing system works and this will now give them the right for police to draw blood from you on the street and give you a DUI ... as if you have been drinking and driving, which I am COMPLETELY against. It gives police more power to abuse citizens in new ways that is written in very vague terms as to what it means, giving room to many interpretations which lead to police exceeding the law because it is unclear.

Oregons bill sounds best right now and I hope it passes ... but it's not looking good. So far we have like 57% voting yes in the private polling being done. It's highly likely it will pass. Because of the DUI laws and zero tolerance for kids, more woman support it here than men.

The only problem is what if I ate a medicated brownie before bed, woke up to drive to work and because I didn't have my coffee yet ... I'm an asshole and he decides it's his right to test my blood. I'm very nice to cops always ... but if ... lol ... if cops could take peoples blood like that and give kids DUI's for smoking a little weed at the party last week ... that's horrible. A DUI!

DUI's are bad! I don't want my child to have an upset cop who's low on sugar decide to give my son a blood test on the side of the road and give him a DUI for experimenting with a little weed.

A DUI for WEED?!

I couldn't vote yes for that reason. But if it doesn't pass, we'll get it right soon. :)

If you can get a DUI, then shouldn't they administer their sobriety tests? Are they moving to blood drawing because THC stays in the body long enough that it will get them more positive tests? The reason I ask is because you can smoke a lot, and still pass sobriety tests. It sounds to me like a way to wrangle up more money and try to affect/influence/mislead public opinion.
