Hey Everyone

I am a complete newbie to DWC but I have constructed a recirculating cabinet system: My Recirculating DWC Scrog Cabinet

And I have just started my first grow: My first ever DWC ScrOG Cabinet Grow

I have posted this on 2 sites so far! Roll it up and Oz Stoners

But I havent had many replies at all and I am really starting to freak out! Because this really is a grow of firsts for me! The only way I have grown in the past is "Guerilla Gardening" haha I think thats what its called anyway! But now I'm taking on Hydroponics! And the advanced looking techniques of ScrOG and its all in a stuffy cabinet! ....Oh and I also was thinking about keeping a Bonsai mother in a hydro-culture pot! So I'm really scared that this is gonna severley crash and burn if I dont get some sort of help and feedback! ....You all must know the paranoia that goes with first time grows??

Please Help!!

everything you have set up is perfect. the two fans are excellent circulation. maybe some sort of exits on the side of the cabinet for air flow in and out. otherwise the plants should thrive in there. keep an eye on temp as well!

Great set up. It looks like you got all the basis covered. Keep reading on RIU, theres so much useful info you can't go wrong. Check out other people's journal, they may inspire you. Good Luck

looks like you have everything covered with that set-up... is that a vent in the lower left of the larger cabinet for ventilation to the outside??? props to that except u usually want to vent from the top where the heat will normally rise to. if you are pulling air out from the bottom you will be pulling out cooler air that you want and need. other than that its very nice!!! good luck

looks really good man, excellent setup.
wat u finkin of doin bout air circulation and smell?
Thanks mate

There is a passive intake on the bottom of the left side it's basically just two 80mm holes with a louvered vent on each side to light proof it. The left circ fan, air pump and exhaust all pull cool air from here and with the doors shut it has some serious suction!

As for smell I'm not too sure yet man I've heard the strain I'm growing will smell kinda citrus like and I was thinking of just putting some sort of air freshener next to the ballast exhaust fan. I know this idea is not ideal but I cant be bothered making a carbon scrubber and I definitely cant afford one!

Thanks man

read my reply to littlewing about air flow.

In the photos I have the first exhaust fan which was 120mm 80CFM didn't quite cut it so i had to get a new 150mm 230CFM one.

Yeah I am a little bit worried about the temps as well they get right up to around 31-33 C but I live in a hot climate and the recirc from the ext res keeps the root-zone fairly cool ...peaks at around 25 C

Cheers

Thanks bro yeah a tent would def be easier and would prob work out cheaper!!

But a tent in my basement looks way to suss! haha had to be a bit stealthier ;-)

I seen a guy that put one into an inbuilt wardrobe with his ballast outside the tent!! looked really good! If I had a wardrobe big enough thats what I would have done!

Cheers

Cheers kanabiis!

Yeah thats the intake vent  the exhaust fan is at the top I have a bigger one in there now than the one in the pic!

And I need the cool air man I live in a hot region of aussie the left circ fan pulls air through and the right circ fan blows it up past the lamp to the exhaust.

In the middle of summer I may have problems cos its only the beginning and already the temps are at the high end of the scale!!

I have a big pedestal fan that I may have to angle into the vent from outside when it gets too hot!

Cheers :peace:
