Hi, I have a dinafem Blue Hash strain at 5 weeks veg and is topped as well. I use a 400w hps on a 18/6 light cycle. I use FFOF soil and Fox Farm nutes. I water every 3-4 days. However the stems look very droopy as well as red towards the end of each light cycle but stick back up after the dark cycle. Any ideas what is causing this? What can I do to fix it?

They KNOW when dark is coming. Mine do the same thing depending on strain. Believe it or not, Ive actually SEEN the plants bend towards light when I spin em. Seriously, some plants react that fast, some react on their own timer youve trained it to. As long as they perk up during the man made day, youre fine. HPS for the win! Unless mother nature decided to play of course.

sumtimes there really is nothing wrong. and then you go and try and fix it. and then sumthing is wrong lol. im really not sure exactly why they limp towards the dark cycle but if you go in a grow room when its been dark for like 8 hours the plants are limp. asleep makes sense to me. mayby they sense its that time to shut down.

The plants should grow 24/7 with I grew in all rock wool before it was legit in mi. I couldn't get good dirt around here then it went legit I got my card all the local grow shops open up Then I started grow in fox farm I had a few great grows then I don't know what happen. I used to love i! I order my rock wool in 45 lbs or 4 cu ft just use like dirt but a hydro ph in the 5.6-6.3 and i water by what they call the watering by hand hydro method. Here is my first video and my first grow with ffof. I wasn't legal then ! I'm straight now!!! I didn't give a shit what were they going to do put me in jail. But I had to try ffof cuz all the hype a lot of people on here act like they work for ff cuz they push it just a little to hard!!! This is my next 2 or 3 grows I get free shipping when you spend over $200 that's why they put tape over the cap for shipping My local grow shops not much help so f- them they don't care if you have trouble cuz then you spend more when you have trouble. You get better prices on the wed and no sales tax
Well they are red only on some of the upper branches starting from the beginning of the leaf and then down about half an inch

This is VERY COMMON in some strains...it is especially noticed during the 12/12 flower cycle....my White Widow does it while my 2 other l strains do not...plants CAN EXHIBIT circadian rhythms....my WW starts getting sleepy (droopy on top leaves) after about 10.5 hrs of the 12 hr DAY CYCLE..when the lights come back on, she is wide awake again and ready to go to work...If your confident of your watering schedules, and temperatures, it very well could just be that...my WW tends NOT TO SHOW IT, as she gets over 3 weeks into flower...just be certain to rule out other issues and THEN it very well could be circadian rhythms...

This is off topic but cool enuf to put the picture up...starting a new strain from Bomb Seeds (THC Bomb), and out of 5 fem seeds and 10 Regulars, I had one with multiple tap root 'tails'...it has 2 long ones and 1 tiny one on top of those...I know its rare simple because in 37 years of growing, I NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.....It got planted this morning and I cant wait to see what it grows out as...It was one of the Regular (non-feminized) seeds, so hopefully it female...And hopefully it grows out as a plant that truely represents the strain....

I guess by now everybody realized it's your dli...the plants couldn't use that much light in that time frame. Dim your lights a little til she can use the light for the whole lights on cycle. Hard to do running different strains in the same grow space tho.
