Everything is in a white painted closet space for now.

Now....I only have 5x feminized NL from the Doc so I want to grow using just cuttings.(will need a lot of help with this later I think). I only have 1 seed planted and hoping not to touch another for a long time.

I realize this would mean Upgrading all over.... & getting another system. I was looking at this but I don't know which version to get....

What would I need for venting if I went with the 400W HPS?

I'll take some pics after I get home from work...I think i kept the light a little to far away it looks pretty tall. but i dunno (such a freakin newb, JC! I hate it .:confused:)

ok look your in an apartment!!!!!!!!!!! so am I, but the hps is gonna be a big issue for you and cuase you heartache from the excessive heat it will cause you. use that cfl you got for your first grow or two if you want more light at 25w cool blue cfls around the plant later in growing. for the hps you will need a cool tube reflector 2 lengths of duct and a 250 cfm fan prefferably a squirrel cage or can fan. they move alot of air. without the cool tube and venting your heat will be uncontrollable in that box. and you might need a small ac unit to cool the air in the room with the box. so your not adding the hot air back into the box through the box's vent system.

OK so stay away from the HPS while in the apartment & stick with Flouro's

So if I got the DarkRoom & 2/ 2 foot-2 bulb T5's to go on each side, with the 150w cfl fixture, would this do a good job & yield a decent amount? And what would I need for venting for the flouros? just a few oscillating fans?

Ok I ordered a DarkRoom120 & 2 - New Wave T5's. 4' footers (yea i went for the biggies cause i'm hoping for a big girl) & 2 bulbs each. I ordered T5's with 4 veg lights (6500k) & I seperately ordered 4 flowering lights (3000k) for u guessed it...flowering time.

So I'll have the 150W Hydrofarm CFL system I already had directly above the plant, & I'm going to hang a T5 vertically on each side...U CAN DO THAT RIGHT??? (just hopefully the DR can handle the weight)

I don't have any kind of ventiliation for the DarkRoom except for a medium fan but one of the only reasons I needed it is because of hanging. I can't make holes in my ceiling for the lights but now i'll have this incase I want to upgrade later with an HPS & a good vent system.

It's going in the closet & I'll probably just end up leaving the DR door open at least halfway....except when in the dark-cycle of flowering of course. this sound ok?

I also picked up some fox farm don't bug me, & a temp-humidity meter for the cherry on top. I think I might be straight for now...........?

Except these damn 1 week old roots are still a mystery buried in the hydroton via 10" netpot in the DWC. Someone gave me a suggestion to get a pump and make a little drip system to feed the roots until they reach the solution, but that's easier said then done with me lol. I'm one of the most idiodic people in the world when it comes to DIY stuff. But i'm gonna try it I think, & hopefully these whitey's will be poppin out soon. Thanks for listenin peeps. i'm out

:eyesmoke: u need some patience, young kimosabe! lol 18/6 is probably cool. i have my mothers and smaller plants under fluros 24/7........the larger plants in veg are under my hps for 18/6 due to heat. i gotta admit that the girls under the fluros appear to be growing faster than under the hps. i don't know if it's the time difference or the shock from going from fluros to hps.

it may be some time before you see roots from that small plant outta that huge netpot. just make sure that the rockwool cube doesn't dry out.........you could use the drip method you're talking about or keep the water level real high with a bubble hose inserted into the bottom of the netpot. i also would advise you to completely cover the top of your cube with those hydroton rocks to prevent algae forming on the top of the cube which could cause the stem from that small plant to rot.

Still waiting for my darkroom & t5's to arrive.

Regarding the rockwool, I am around all day and can feed it as needed, I just hope it's not too wet. And I will definately go fix the hydroton right now, Thanks again man.
