My Last Two Plants, I Know They're Close, But What Do You Think?

Ive read that when they're milky Amber color they're ready but I'm not confident to get it right. I don't have a loop but by zooming in on the pic I'd say they're on the early side, the first pic is more difficult for me as some of the trichs look to be changing, but this may be deceptive due to the purple back drop.

Would you say I'm on the right track?
I'm a second year greenhorn and I really appreciate any guidance.

These are bag seeds a friend gave me from dispensary weed. I'm guessing the purple plant is indica and I'm not sure about the orher

Peak ripeness occurs when ~ 50 percent of the trichome glands have turned milky white. This creates a cerebral/heady/body stone, a balanced high. I suggest you invest in a digital microscope/loupe.

Great photos by the way!
