yea i was all prepared to enter a battle zone with my doc to convince him that it helps...lol. but when i brought it up he says "oh yea...well im not opposed to the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes...im just concerned that with long term use u may have some negative effects...i dont really know a whole lot about it...so u should talk to your psychiatrist" i was shocked. i guess it also helps that hes been my doctor since i was 6 or 7...and we get along really well. so if my shrink says that its ok to give it a go...he'll sign the papers. i told him that im gonna come in for an appointment stoned one day...haha cuz he will think its the funniest thing in the world...he just laughed. im really really lucky...cuz it can be really hard to find a family doc these days...and to have such a cool doc...i guess i have 4 leaf clovers coming outta my ass...hahahaha

Cool. My gp is not opposed to it either. In fact his wife smokes it as well. He has just been told by the government to not sign it due to insurance reasons. Their personal insurance does not cover them if they sign the paper BUT they can add a disclaimer. My doctor is too stubborn to talk with anyone about this so it leaves me stuck without a signature.
I have been with this same doctor for 10 years now and have a good standing relationship with him. He is a good doctor and takes time if it is needed. He has a good personality as well and is relatively easy to talk to.

I have had the same disorders since I was a kid and have all the paperwork and documentation to prove it.

My gp sent me to a psychiatrist to see if he would sign and the appointment turned into a nightmare. This guy made all kinds of accusations about me before he even knew who I was or why I was there.

In his reports he said that I should not be on any type of disability and should be able to find some employment doing someting.
WTF? I didn't go there for any such thing. :confused:It was really odd.

Now that I have my mm card from the club and all those forms signed I am downloading the disclaimer form and making an appointment to plead my case. Perhaps once he realizes that he is not at all liable, then maybe he will sign.

This is looking better than I thought.

Lacy congrats:-) I had a Head Doctor basically tell me onetime how i should and shouldn't live my life. Oh and a very judgemental prick to boot. I was also going through the motions of trying to get disability due to Severe Anxiety/Depression. I just casually shook his hand and said thank you for your time. As i was walking out the door i whispered asshole in a real low voice:-)

if they have any type of condition that cannabis can help with
i totally tell them!
i believe that EVERYONE who lives in CA should get a card
well...actually...i believe that everyone who lives in a state where they allow medical marijuana...ppl should get cards and grow that way instead of growing illegally...

its definitely safer to grow and smoke cannabis if you have a card
at least you have more rights

if anybody needs any information on how to get a card... please do not hesitate to contact me!!!

or research it yourself!!! LOL

I am starting to have different views on this now.
At first I was very anal about the medical marijuana issue but now I can see a lot of advantages to having an mm card for not only toking but growing and feel that if any others can do it then its all good.

What I am opposed to is people using compassion clubs as drug dealers. I suppose I take the medical side of it more seriously than most do and I am not exactly sure why. :confused:

The fact is that most everyone can find some type of condition that cannabis is helpful for. :joint::mrgreen:
The only thing I worry about is that this system will be taken advantage of by the wrong people and perhaps then the government will become more strict.:roll::twisted: Maybe ...maybe not.

Oh GAWD. You are gonna wish you never started me on this topic. :evil:

I have had disorders since I was a kid and have never found any of those 'so called' qualified shrinks the least bit of help.
Its seems the more degrees they have to their name, the more impersonal and anal they are about their profession. For some reason they have lost the humanitarian side of treatment, type slotting patients into categories and just seem to want to offer Prescription drugs.:evil: Just drug them to death and shut them the fuck up. :-?

Surely I don't need to tell you that some of these drugs do more damage than good and for some shrink to sit there in front of me and tell me I need to be on this amount of such and such a drug in 10 minutes of meeting me, is just NOT RIGHT! :evil::confused::confused::confused:

My GP made arrangements for me to see this shrink but decided not to mention the reason why I was there.:confused: So I wait all this time to see this shrink to try and get him to sign my papers and he has some of my past patient history records and concludes that i am there trying to scam the government and become a drug dealer. :evil::evil::evil: WTF? Now THAT really pissed me off. :fire:

I have my own mean of emplyment which had nothing to do with why i was there. :confused:

For one, I do not sponge from our government for anything and found that very insultiing. Nor have I sued anyone in my life as i do not believe in that type of BS. :evil: This guy asked me a few questions and just came to this conclusion. Mentioned that I the amount of meds I was taking,....that I might as well be taking smarties :twisted::dunce: and was stupid enough to add it in his report back to my GP. :o

I mean seriously. If I really was that crazy a chick and wanted to be a REAL bitch I could have very well had his licence for that comment.:roll::wall:

How did this guy know that I would have thought to myself.....gee maybe he is right and gone off all my meds,....done some thing totally insane. :twisted: Not that I am THAT crazy or THAT evil to do such a thing but that was just rediculous.

I got up and stated that this was unbelievable, walked into the waiting room and told my hubby that the guy was a dick ...lets go.

I WAS PISSED. :fire:

Thats one thing I have no tolerance for is people who stereotype and make judegments and assumptions before even getting to know someone.

I just find it REALLY shallow. :roll::?:

I agree with you on the peeps who are going to take advantage of the MM laws. I have a feeling certain people will abuse this priviledge and make the rest of MM users/growers look bad. It's like the saying goes..............Give em an inch and they take a mile.
