My First Stealth Cab (Work In Progress)

Nice job, i like what your doing with it. I just got my mylar ordered today from amazon, i was just gonna paint the inside of my cab (which is black) a matte white but the paint isnt bonding well to the smooth coating of the cab. I think im gonna roll 250hps/mh for the cab as well, 250s dont put off too much heat and I think it will be good enough for 2 plants.

Cool, im gonna have to check out your grow. I thought about getting some Mylar but its already white and I'm trying to spend as little as possible.

Right now I'm researching what pc fans will work best for cheap and how to wire them without burning the house down lol.

Then I have to think about the fact that those pots I have are only starter pots and the larger ones I have from my last grow almost touch the bottom of the scrog screen :(
What if I got long pots (like window gardens) instead of deep ones, will the roots grow to the sides just fine or is deeper better?

Im also worried about how to replant them if they're already into the screen..... Lots to learn still.

Well just looked in my cab a little bit more and decided that since I want to have 4 plants, I can cut out four holes in the floor of the cab and then when my large pots are installed the top of the pots will be exactly level with the top of the small pots already inside. Problem solved.

I just read through your grow thread, zip. Nice!

I am currently running 8 23watts for one plant. She is in my journal, along with her sister who I am vegging out longer, and a clone.

Thanks mate!! Thinking about starting up some bagseeds today to get growing. By the time they are ready to plant I should have the fans in and the holes cut :)

Phew!!! Long day full of drilling and cutting holes for the larger pots. Very happy with how it turned out now :)

Also I've got 6 of our bagseeds started in a paper towel and ziplock. Can't wait to get growing!!!

Ya it sucks but I start a new job in a week pending a urine test...... Hence why I have so much free time and motivation to do this. Not smoking for a week sucks!!!

Picked up two of these 4" fans from Radio Shack today.

Got the holes drilled and cut out, set both fans in, and now I'm letting the caulking around them dry before I add one more layer around the edges and wire them up to my AC adapter :)
They're a little noisy but I'm not looking for SUPER stealthy. Also found some flexable hose laying around the house and I'm gonna try and build a light trap with it before I go out and spend any more money. Pics to come soon!

Got the fans wired up and doing a test run of the box all closed up, lights and fans on to see what average temps I get. Hoping this works :)

Temps are staying at a perfect and steady 81* :) also bought a small 4" desk fan (on sale for five bucks!!) to blow across the canopy when the time comes.

The bottom left fan is the intake, the top right is the exhaust.

Tomorrow I'm gonna make a DIY carbon filter and light trap, then I should be ready to grow!!

(BTW, 3 of the 6 seeds I started in a paper towel have already cracked open. Hoping one more opens up then I've got the 4 seedlings I want!!)
