my first spider mites ...

I went crazy with warm water, original jet dry, and neem.. I used my sprayer on the stream mode to destroy the gnarly webs and I wore gloves and used que-tips to clean up the webbed up leaves.
Lower the temp for sure!
Move the lights up alittle higher..
Go get pyritheum, your best bet.. Its called Stop Spider Mites, 15$ at the hydro store in town. I have it now.. works great. upside down spray can if needed too.
Or try drowning them out with that neem mixture I used.
Hope that helps mayne

take a soft bristled paint brush and gently wipe the bottom of the leaves and rinse it when your done
thanks for the tips... that's a good idea..

Those girls are close enough to done. Don't spray anything on them. Chop them tonight and start the drying process. Trim off any PM you have. Spraying anything on them now will just lead to shitty smoke. I seriously doubt you'll gain much from it. Not trying to be harsh. But PM and Spider Mites each on their own are enough to battle. Put together they are like the wonder twins. I feel your pain my friend. I've been in the same situation and it sucked.
I haven't seen the PM in a couple of weeks.I treated it with a peroxide solution a couple of times after i spotted it and seemed to have gotten control of it...hopefully.. ...so hopefull. and no way...I did not treat that plant for mites since I'm cutting the rest of it down tomorrow.

I will surely look into it at my local hydro shop or online. I haven't noticed anything. It's been day three since i saw the first mites, and like i said, only about two... but i saw eggs. at least what seemed to look like eggs. So i'll treat it with the nicotine in a few more days ...and wait.

I have a feeling these two plant i have quarantined are gonna turn hermie on me. I'm stressing the fuck out of them with light cylcles, interruptions, and poor care with one of them. But i have my temps nice and low for sure.

My theory is is that, i got them in plants that were growing in my window, and temps in my apt were literally 100 plus degrees. and i had windows open.. My flowering box was full and the temps were so high i couldn't keep them under cfls since i hadn't had A/C yet. either that or from hydro store soil. ..... Whatever the case may be .. it seems ok right now. But we will see, and i'll keep you all updated what happens. Just to keep a record of what worked in this situation.
thanks

haven't seen any but i'm still keeping them quarantined ... figure i'll spray again in a day or so ... If i don't see any more, or any in my flowering room, I'll throw them in there after the next treatment.

I sprayed 5 days ago with insect spray, 3 days ago I let loose 500 Ladybugs.
For the last 5 days I haven't seen any mites, at first I found 1000s of eggs every where I looked and Now even with a mag. I can't see but a few... And the Ladybugs are still there doing their jobs...:hump::weed: I'm still holding my breath.
The thing I got to 5 Weeks 002.jpgremember is to clean up after being out side, I paint houses some times like now and I'm sure thats were they came from.

these motherfuckers came back...or never left. I only saw activity on one clone i had... like i stated in my last post i threw it out the window....I've been keeping an eye out for damage and up until today i haven't found anything. Then i noticed a few with damage .... I have no idea how i could've missed it. But i'm ready to switch to something else. I have a suspect plant that i think is carrying them, but i have yet to see damage or movement of mites on it.
So i'm starting again with the tobacco juice. But i think my first order may be to try a commercial spray.... think it's ok with almost a month into flowering??? This sucks.
I haven't seen the true damage they can do. But .... goddamn. Is this like herpes?? am i stuck with this vermin forever.

Im sick of everyone saying "be sure to spray underneath leaves" "dont forget to get underneath the leaves" spidermites live, grow, eat, and birth all underneath your leaves a cameo on the tops of leafs is rare unless the leaf is really tiny the mite can circle it a few times... Especially concentrate solutions on the bottoms of leaves mites love the tiny leaves that come off of buds too... I use ecosense ortho if my infestation gets so tenacious that i have to use it religiously then my buds have a menthol hint to em because the ortho is all natural with tobacoo and menthol stuff... Works really well... Ecosense ortho outdoor pest control
