I have to say I had a real good chuckle at your expense when I saw photos 4 & 5. Sorry bout' that. I take it that those are the NLxBB and you still have 5wks to go.

Which one is the auto???

For reference I dug through my photos and found the last run I had with NLxBB. It's a ScrOG under LED at 6wks 12/12 they are the 2 girls on the left side of the screen, notice the size of all the heads, most are from secondary branches.

I showed you this just to show where you could be going.

If I were you I'd start some training to bring your stalks to horz bout' a foot below the light, then all the side buds will fire and grow to the light.

Hope that isn't too weird, just had a few oil rips, gotta go walk the dog, thanks for the chuckle. Watts

Haww,, You must be smokin some good stuff Watt!! As mentioned at the end of my post, Auto and the Clones will get updated tomorrow when they get fed, so all your looking at are the NLxBB and Fruity Chronic, which still have a month and a half to go.

Not going to bother with LSTing these girls. Just gonna run this through as is, so I can get a feel for how the Hempy's work and how much space I have to work with. Not to mention I cant really lock them down,, They have to be a little mobile for me.

Yea its good,,,,, bho of little sugar buds still clear to cloudy trichs, good heady fun.

It's a shame you need to move em. With a little bondage you could up the yield. And I'll bet dollars to donuts that those top colas will end up being at least 6" above where they are now.

But hey there are worst problems than having healthy plants that are out growin' the space.
May you have more of the same problem in your future grows.
Best, Watts

OK,, Update on the Auto and Clones

Bumped up Auto's feed about 100ppm today (580 (.5)) to see if I can get a little more plump out of her buds before I start flushing. She is showing mostly Cloudy trics, but I need to do a little more investigating over the next few days, but she is definitively filling out a little more each day. She is now 57 Days since sprouted and I dont think she is doing too bad considering she is only under CFL that are 5000K, and other than my overzealous feeding, she recovered nicely, stayed compact, and was easy to grow.
20120817_075708.jpg20120817_075723.jpg20120817_075746.jpg

New Clones are doing fine and I noticed one had roots starting to Poke out my hole in the Cup.. I also started them on a light feed today of 100ppm (.5)
20120817_075922.jpg

Both NLxBB and Fruity Chronic Clones have taken off. It seems obvious that they have hit the res, which is incredibly early.. It took two weeks last time, but I am also feeding every other day, and not every 3rd day (cause of the heat),, But they will also need to be topped in the next few days if they continue to grow like they just started to. I also did a little manscaping at their base, so I can go ahead and start the pruning process early.

Journal NOTE: 2Liter Clone in Flower - Today I saw just the slightest bit of Claw on a couple of the lower bud leaves, and by now, I know what I am seeing, so I just went ahead and did a RO Water Flush, and will come back tomorrow with a slightly lower nute strength. She is looking much better than she did a couple of days ago, and budding up rapidly. I am not sure how far down I am supposed to, if any, Need to trim off, so at this point, I am just leaving everything to see what its gonna do.

That Auto looks like its doing real well. I don't think that a flush will be real soon, it looks like its got at least 3wks if not 4, but again I've never grown an auto. But the pistols are all so milky white, which denotes the point where the girl is at its sexual peak, & this usually occurs with several wks to go. I used to follow the microscope to the T, and then moved from the bud to the sugar leaf to check trich and now I really watch the plant to tell me when it's done. I didn't start this until I started to make seeds and this makes you look at different milestones in growth.

As far as flushing I hope you aren't thinking about a 2wk cleaning. You haven't even come close to crazy over-feeding, you have maintained a really well balanced feeding schedule IMO. I'm on the side of the fence that wants to keep feeding to the end, but at reduced levels. If you have some time here's a good thread to read https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/409622-truth-about-flushing.html

Your clones look great also, I wish my current batch looked that good, mine look okay but aren't throwing out any visible roots, I took them from my outdoor girl that hadn't started to show any flowers, but 4 of the clone cuts threw out a flower head prior to the outdoor girl. Always something new to learn.

Hey Watts, I think you may be a little outside on your timing for the Auto.. Its a 60 Day Strain, and today is Day 59.. Of course anything is possible, but another 3-4 weeks,, I certainly hope not :?, but this is my first Auto also, so I say, lets sit back and see what she does.. I will be feeding her again this morning, so I will do a Trich Check and see where we are at.

Yes, flushing is always a question,, When I ran hydro, you don't really need much of a flush, more of just a PULL THE NUTES DOWN to the bare minimum and let em ride that out. I will more than likely just flush Auto for a few days and call it good (when the time comes).

Clones all are doing great and are starting to beg for food.. I really wish everything would slow down a little, cause I am about to run out of room fast.

Gonna do a full update today,, Stay tuned!!

Oh and as always,, Thanks for the Input :clap::clap:

UPDATE!!

3 Weeks down and move into Week #4 of Flowering - The Girls (NLxBB & Fruity Chronic Juice) are doing nicely and their tops are really looking good. All of their leaves are at attention and even most of the Claws that I saw last week, have actually straightened themselves out, and I find that kinda odd.
20120819_072246.jpg20120819_072259.jpg20120819_072313.jpg

2 Liter Clone in Flower, also continues to do well. She is Fed every day and taking 540PPM (.5).
20120819_072124.jpg20120819_072144.jpg

NLxBB & Fruity Chronic Juice Clones in Veg, are growing bigger every day and looking very healthy. I am going to top them today, which will give me another 4 tops per plant.
20120819_073711.jpg20120819_073732.jpg20120819_073841.jpg20120819_073849.jpg

Auto Northern Lights Blue is on Day 59 and still plumping up. Still lots of white pistils, but also quite a bit of Amber Pistils, and I did a thorough Trichome Check today,, we are still looking at mostly cloudy at this point, so gonna chill and let her do her thing.
20120819_073543.jpg20120819_073520.jpg20120819_073503.jpg20120819_073454.jpg20120819_073606.jpg

Did not water the Baby Clones today.. The mix is still moist, so I should and want to,, back off the watering a little.

Just wanted to update my Journal real Quick..

Yesterday I topped the NLxBB and Fruity Chronic Juice Clones in Veg, and put the two tops into a small Makeshift Dome for now..
20120819_100927.jpg20120819_100945.jpg20120819_101224.jpg20120819_101235.jpg20120820_070747.jpg

I am also picking up (15) 2 liter Bottles for the 15 Clones I have in Hempy Cups.. Since the current 2 Liter test clone is doing well, it looks like I will be Rockin the 2 Liter Sog,, So its prep time, and figure it will be another week or two until they need to be transplanted and put into flower.

Oh I also bumped up the PPM for the Small Clones to 200,, They look like they really want to start feeding, so I guess its GAME ON!!

Happy Growing!!

Quick update on the Flowering Girls

Still just watering the same PPM, cause their leaves are a nice colored green, and they seem very happy, so they are still getting 540 PPM (.5) until they say otherwise, but the stretch seems to have stopped late last week, and we are now just focusing on the buds:leaf:. That means barely 3 weeks of stretch,, So I don't think that's bad at all. I was able to lower the Flood Tray, so I have a bit of breathing room anyway..
20120819_072246.jpg20120819_072259.jpg20120819_072313.jpg

2 Liter Clone in Flower is also continuing to work on her buds, and is getting 587 PPM (.5). I am feeding her what the Bottles Recommend for Flowering, but not at full strength, and adding a small amount of CalMag into the mix. She was 15" Tall when I measured her yesterday.
20120819_072124.jpg20120819_072144.jpg

I decided not to water Veg Clones or the Auto today.. The Perlite is still moist, plus I am in no Hurry for them to grow,, So I am going to see if backing off the watering might buy me some time.

I fed and took some pics this morning, so I thought I would go ahead and throw those up here.

Plants in Flower are really doing well.. Other than the TIP BURN on every leaf (that is just eating at my OCD) they are HAPPY and HEALTHY, and are not being fed a very high nute strength considering their size and how fast they are plumping up, but I would bet the EVERY DAY watering is why.
20120823_071842.jpg20120823_071847.jpg20120823_072224.jpg20120823_072235.jpg20120823_072246.jpg20120823_072303.jpg20120823_072315.jpg20120823_072336.jpg20120823_072347.jpg

2 Liter Clone that went straight to flower, also continues to do great and is really starting to fill in nicely.
20120823_071921.jpg20120823_071912.jpg20120823_071828.jpg20120823_071817.jpg20120823_072322.jpg

Veg Clones that were topped last weekend are also doing well.
20120823_072411.jpg20120823_072420.jpg

Of course my timing is all Jacked up, cause everything grew faster this time around than the first, and the Baby Clones look like they are ready for their 2 liter home, and into flower they will go,, Along with the 2 Veg Clones that will need to go into flower in the next week or two, I have no Idea how I am going to fit everything onto the Flood Tray, let alone under 1 400w HPS..

So things are about to get really interesting :-|

BIG UPDATE TODAY..

Lets go ahead and start with Girls in Flower, They have hit the Halfway Point and 4 Weeks are DOWN.. They just continue to pack on the Weight and are looking great.. I upped their nute mix a little today and bumped them up to 580PPM (.5). Here's a little Bud Porn.
20120825_073444.jpg20120825_073453.jpg20120825_073504.jpg20120825_073517.jpg20120825_073534.jpg20120825_073542.jpg20120825_073552.jpg

2 Liter Clone in flower also continues to fill in a little more each day.
20120825_073719.jpg20120825_073713.jpg20120825_073703.jpg20120825_073729.jpg

TRANSPLANT DAY for all of the Baby Clones. They were moved into their 2 Liter Homes today, and I decided to include 1 part Vermiculite with my Perlite this time around. Their root system was quite established and long enough to go right down into the res.. I had to squeeze all of them onto the Flood Table and used a Bunch of Small Plastic Crates from Walmart to lift them up as High as I could to the light. They are not as close to the light as I would like them to be, but there just isn't much I can do about it, so lets see where this takes us. They are also being fed 300PPM (.5) and will go up to 400 on the next watering.
20120825_073635.jpg20120825_073648.jpg20120825_081445.jpg20120825_081401.jpg20120825_114210.jpg20120825_114205.jpg20120825_114155.jpg20120825_114127.jpg20120825_114217.jpg

At this point, I have NO room left in the Flower Room, so I am considering vegging these two a little longer, then simply harvest them both for every clone I can get, plus the 4 tops, and throwing the rest away, so they wont have to be put into flower, and I will have a bunch more clones that can then be put into Flower when the time is right, PLUS, I can take two of those clones and Veg them again for MORE CLONES!!!
20120825_073602.jpg20120825_073614.jpg
These girls got a Flush Today.. For whatever reason, a Couple of lower leaves clawed on me.. They are not getting any more nutes than they have been getting for the Last Week or so,, But I just went ahead and gave them a bit of a flush and will start them back on nutes in a day or two.

Well I was looking over the 2 Liter Clone in Flower this morning and found what I believe to be Bananas.. The look exactly like Bananas, so I pulled her from the tent. I brought her into the kitchen and found about 5 tucked inside the Crevice of a smaller lower bud. I was able to stick a needle in, touch the banana, and it stuck to the needle so I could pull it out. They did not seem to be attached to anything, just kind tucked in there. I cut up the plant and inspected it really good, but could not find anything else, no Balls or anything.. I am hoping that I caught them early enough that she did not pollinate anything. I think she may have been a clone from the earlier plant that hermied, but not sure.

You can use Vermiculite or Coco mixed in with the Perlite for more water retention. My new 2 liter clones that went into flower have a mix of Vermiculite and Perlite. I also use the mix in my Hempy Cups to help me cut down on the watering a little.

I don't transplant tho I start an finish in one pot...I started one seed in Rockwool but it died after a few days I think because it drys out to quickly soi was gonna put about 2-3 inches of soil ontop of my perlite/vermiculite mix so I can start it in the soil an let the roots work there way down

Ive always grown strictly in soil before

Understood,,, But why not transplant? Its pretty easy and lets you work your way up. For example, (and you can see what I do in this journal), but I start them in Root Riot or Peat Cubes, and just keep them moist and warm,,, and the cube can be put into a Hempy Solo Cup with Cellophane over the top to create a humidity dome. Once the seed sprouts, keep them growing in the Cup until they hit the res, then give em another week to really get a nice root system. At that point pop them into the final Hempy Bucket, and let em hit the res again.. That's about it.. Its not as stressful as some like to make it, and it also allows you to get a good look at the roots at least once during their lifetime.

I for one am loving the Hempy Style of Growing.. Other than all of the watering, its been pretty user friendly.. I am sure you will love it if your a dirt guy, but there are some subtle differences that a Hydro Grow can help you understand.
