My first grow

yeh it makes sense that it would be better not to flush because you dont deny it nutrients but what about the smoother smoke? but like you said what works best it is the way you like it my next grow I might just try a no flush and see the results. who knows I might like it more.

as for curing can you direct me to a good page where the best methods to curing are I keep finding just basic curing pages but I do know there's a better way because of the experienced growers on here know there shit link me a good page if you can.

and thanks hopefully the curing process goes good for me
Keep in mind, for the no flushing, I don't give them all sorts of multi mix of nutrients with extra additives... Only cal/mag (I'm in coco), a sibgle nute for veg and another for flower. And I do reduce the dosage towards the end, but so the plants does consume its stored sugars. Exactly when and how much changes all the time as I decide by looking at the plants.

For curing, I like this one in the curing & harvesting forums: https://www.rollitup.org/t/a-perfect-cure-every-time.514841/
Temperature is important too as it affects the relative humidity in the air.
Temps and relative humidry, as well as how much they swing up and down all depend on where you live, and affect the drying curing. Also how much buds your drying, etc etc....
Understand the principles, what to try to control and tricks how to, then you can easily apply all of it to suit your specific needs and conditions.

so its basicly down to figuring out when to reduce the dosage around what week do you start doing that can you reduce the dosage by just adding more water into the mixture?
also thanks for the curing thread this looks like a proper way of curing

Yes I reduce amount by basically doing a percentage of the recommended dosage per gallon. But you could work it out by adding extra water - with 1 gallon with a 100% dose of nutrient water, if you add another gallon of plain water it's now at 50% nute strength....Just make sure you know how much so you can increase or lower it as you need.

With seedlings I eventually start them at 25%, then increase by 25% gradually until I reach 200%. To get that far I actually increased the% bit by bit, like 5-10% increments, carefully monitoring the plants. Now I'm confident enough that they can take it. Then when I flower I give 100% of flower nutes and work down for the last 2-3 weeks to 20-25%. In bigger or smaller increments depending on what I want from the plants. Atm for instance I want them to eat up more leaves than they are so I'm lowering by bigger amounts until they do.
One last thing on my feedin style, I flush my pots with plain ph'd water, one watering, feed the next, then repeat, letting the pots dry out a bit in between.
Ive tried other ways, and so far prefer trying to give my plants as little as possible of everything they need to grow well. not at all to starve them but rather to avoid overcharging them.
I'm just outline my method as an example, not to give you a recepie to follow. Again, I advise understanding the process (of what the plants needs when) to adjust yourself according to how your plants respond. Then you can easily find what works best for you.

OK what you're telling me is to start out low on the nutrients then gradually increase until I have a system I can work with
the only thing is I don't want to over do it on the nutrients but I am more interested in making my bud more dense and compacted but I have yet to figure out how to do that.what I need to find is a thread explaining the grow process of the plant then manipulate it in a way that I like so that I can grow the product I like but this is my first plant and it went good I feel when I start learning more and more about the plants life cycle I will hopefully look back to this day and realize what I been doing wrong but so far its been a fun learning process hopefully one day I can smoke with some legendary growers I could learn a thing or to from them plus I can talk about growing weed all day if I could with them.

You did great man, you got through the first grow!!!

Don't limit yourself to forums threads, there's a lot of iseful info on the net and in books to. But there's a lot of not so good, or misleading info. Go with what you feel works best and works for you - and recognizing what the plants like or don't like is a bit tricky, it's not complicated and you just need time and experience growing to pick it up.
You can look into plant training (LST is a good start) to maximize your usage of your space. How much lights you use (there are ALOT of opinions on this), controlling node spacing as your plants grow (distance from, amount of and kind of light) are easy enough things to start researching and doing early on.
Oh, and don't tweak 10 things at once. If something goes wrong you'll have a harder time pin pointing what. Go slowly, and try to improve and get better every grow.
