My first grow.

I started this grow thinking I was gonna kill this plant. I made a bunch of mistakes (Terrible soil, bad lights, bad setup all together) anyway here it is. I got 1.5 ounces of herb, 205 killer cookies (I love edibles), and a double bubble sized piece of hash (Don't have a picture of that ill get one though). Its all from 1 Pure Kush plant. Anyway there it is let me know what you think.

Tell us about your grow setup?

@GreenLogician I used miracle grow for soil (Had spider mites) (bad decision #1). I went from a solo cup to the final container which was a small storage tote. I started with a led bulb (http://goo.gl/PzMc6r) (bad decision #2). I shortly after upgraded to 6500k 150 watt equivalent CFL. Then I got x4 100 watt 2700k CFLs for flowering (http://goo.gl/7g7MHV) (bad decision #3). I clipped it to coat hanger and then jarred it to dry. It was set up in my closet (2ftx2ft6). I Mylared the walls and had NO VENTILATION (bad decision #4&5). I've started preparing for my next grow. I'm going to get Fox Farms Happy Frog for Veg, and Fox Farms Ocean Forest for flowering. I'm going to plant in a solo cup then a 2 gallon bucket then 5 gallon bucket. I bought a 300 watt led light. I'm adding ventilation now, and painting the walls flat white. I also bought a mesh drying rack. So there it is! let me know what you think of my next set up.

--- Those are only called 23 watters, ignore the 'equivalent' thing

I have (what growers call) a 150w CFL and a 250w CFL, both are huge beasts.
Even the 150w is the size of my arm, from my shoulder to my elbow.
The 250w is like Arnold Schwarzenegger's arm.

I've got the Hyperfan, I love it. It's got a built in dimmer, and is twice as energy efficient as most other exhaust fans!

@GreenLogician I found out about the equivalent stuff later on into the grow. I bought this light (http://goo.gl/RkyNfX). I bought 2 4inch hydrofarm fans. WOW that light look awesome. How well does it work? If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it?

Ah, a Mars! I haven't used one, but they have a solid reputation.
I got my Apollo for around 180 US dollars I think
It's been performing flawlessly, but I wish I'd chosen a broader spectrum. I got it a few years ago when I was noobier, and just went with the default, 75% red 25% blue LEDs, with no variety. There was an option to pick what colors went in.

I've used it to grow a few girls right to harvest alone, but as of a week ago, now I'm trying it alongside a cooltube 400w hps. It's bright in there!
