Ok everybody this is my first grow. I started this 4 months ago from feminized seeds, Big Bud and White Widow. 15 Plants were vegged for 2-3 months under 18 13watt CFLS. I Had my Veg Cabinet built by a friend from white desk pieces. I then moved 13 plants under a 600 watt HPS with a cool tube. All these plants are in 1 gallon pots and are between 1 and 3 feet. These plants have been flowering for 3 weeks now and are all lookin pretty sexi. I used schultzs potting soil with some vermiculite and perlite, only because i could not find a soiless mix.
My HPS popped like 5-6 days ago so i substituted it for a MH for now until i can find a Hydro store where i can purchase another HPS.
1 Question i have is, Does anyone know if their will be a significant difference flowering with a MH as opposed to HPS. MY situation is only temporary and i dont believe it will affect the yield much.
I have 2 mother plants,which were the fast growing, and have cloned them around 7 times. 3 are rooted, 4 almost there in a DIY humidity dome right now. I have a decent ventilation system but my fan is only 300cfm and their is a lot of ducting. My fan pulls all air through a carbon filter on one side of my cool tube. Their is very little suction but the smell is not so bad yet. If the smell becomes blatant then i will buy some tubs of ONA (Odor Neutralizing Agent). The light is literally inches from the tops of plants and some of the tall ones are growing up past the light into the reflective hood.
After this harvest i am planning on cutting the plant number to between 6-9 plants in bigger pots. Any opinions on the optimal number under a 600W?
These pictures are taken as snapshots from a video camera, so they are not clear at all. Im looking into getting a better camera for the 8th an9th week so a can take some decent pictures of some sexi colas.
