My First Grow!!! Hope It Works!!!

hey wadup everyone?
ive been around this forum for a few weeks now and ive been reading non stop about other peoples grows and tips.
now that i have everything i need im going to start my very first grow. this is wat im working with.

i will be growing 3 white widow max and 3 afghan kush plants..

so far all ive done is put them in water and put a cup over them and put them in a dark place so hopefully they will crack. the thing that i noticed is that 1 white widow seed imeadaetly sinked to the bottom. any one know why this is??
my seeds have been in the cup of water in the dark for about 24 hours.. how will i know when they are ready to put in my rock wool cubes??

Oh ok bro thanks then,
I also got a question, I bought a little dome to put my seeds right after they crack, I got rock wool cubes... So once my seeds crack I'm gonna have to put my seeds in the cubes?? And after that wat do I do? Do I soak the cubes?? I've read that once u put the seeds in the little rockwool cubes u put them in a dark room to see if they sprout? Does anyone use this method? Or wats a better way? Thanks for all ur help !!

Yeaaah bro im still new but im educated. Right when they sprout get them under light with a light cycle of 18 hours of light then 6 hours of Darkness Also What type of light are you using?

yeah when they crack im going to put them in their little rock wool cubes. i actually have a dome i bought. its supposed to capture humidity, and its supposed to help them grow during the vegetative stage. so i get the process pretty good but im still confused, once my seeds crack and i put them in the rock wool cubes wat shud i do?? do i put them in a dark place?? and do i water them during this stage??
anybody know the answer to my question???

the object of putting water in a cup with a seed is to fill the inside of the seed with the water so the taproot can grow out.so usually when a seed sinks right to the bottom water has got into it and soon u will see a taproot.

when you see all the taproots coming out the seeds then you can wet your rockwool in ph water or regular tap water before putting the seeds in.then from there u can leave in the dome with the lights on or off it dont matter it will grow from that stage

Oh I see! Thanks bro!! So I have to soak the rockwool cubes? And after that I put the seed in them? So shud I put them under light for 24hrs a day or wat do u recomend?? And shud I water the cube during this progress or wat?? How long does it usually take to see a little root cone out of the cube ?? I know it's alot of questions but remember it's my first grow so I'm trynna get as much info along the way!

Yes soak the rockwool then shake off as much excess wwater as you can.I would start the lights at 16/8 or 18/6 FOR THE FIRST 2 to 3 weeks after thsat 24 hrs until u want to flower your babies.it usually takes a week 2 see roots co.me out the rockwool.

Oh ok bro that makes sense! Did I mention that I have a humidity dome?? How much light is enuff for 6 seeds??? Right now I have 3 42watt cfl's over the dome, and also how much water shud I give my seeds ?? Thanks I appreciate it!

aight so im in day 2 of putting my 6 seeds in their rock wool cubes, i also put them under 3 42watt cfls.. im running a 12/12 light cycle... i filled the bottom of the dome with some water so its about half an inch full of water (dont know if thats the right way to do it).... here are some pics of my setup so far. but i still got some questions... how long do i need to keep them under lights?? how much light shud i give them?? how much water shud i give them??? right now i have 3 white widow max, and 3 afghan kush seeds... so any suggestions will be appreciated!! i really need as much info as i can get from all u pros out there!! this is my very first grow so wish me luck! let me know if im doing things right!!

this is my 3 42watt=150watt cfls over my humidity dome..




this are my 6 seeds in their little rock wool cubes, 3 white widow max and 3 afghan kush... the bottom of the tray has about half an inch of water..

Aight well it has been 3 days since I placed my seeds in their rock wool cubes, right now my babys are in a humidity dome with 3 42watt cfl's, the bottom half inch of the dome was filled up with some boiling water, it's causing alot of humidity so I'm guessing that's good...I am giving my seeds 18 hours of light and 6 hours of sleep,,, am I doing everything correct so far??? All I need is thumbs up or thumbs down? And please tell me why!!! I appreciate it! This is my very first grow ever so I'm trying to get as much into as I can!
