My first grow ever! Hoping for 6+ ounces per plant.

My first grow ever. 12 BlueDream and 12 Querkle. I'll start of with the specs.

Clone:
6" clones rooted in 1.5"x1.5" rockwool cubes

Veg:
8'x3' area
24x 2.5 gallon ebb & flow buckets with hydrocorn media
RO water + 0.5EC MaxiBloom + 0.3EC CaliMagic
70°F reservoir and 72°F at canopy
2x 400w MH unvented hoods. Started at 36" from canopy, ended at 6".
1,100ppm CO2
24hrs of light per day
60 days, 6 feet tall. Over 7 feet including bucket height.

Flower:
8'x12' area
24x 2.5 gallon ebb & flow buckets with hydrocorn media
First 4 weeks
RO water + 0.9EC MaxiBloom + 0.4EC KoolBloom liquid + 0.1EC CaliMagic
Last 4 weeks
RO water + 1.8EC MaxiBloom + 0.4EC KoolBloom liquid
70°F reservoir
88°F lights on, 72°F lights off
6x 1,000w HPS vertical bare bulbs. Started at 20" from canopy, ended at 14".
1,100ppm CO2
12hrs of light per day
56 days, 7 feet tall. Over 8 feet including bucket height. Minimal stretch.

Here's some pictures of the smallest plant. Some seem to have 2-3x more bud.




621 grams wet. No stems, no fan leaves, almost no sugar leaves, mostly just swollen calyxes. I think the plant might have died before harvest because stems were dry and snapped. Also the sugar leaves are yellow and crispy. Pretty much by harvest the plant had auto-trimmed and dried itself lol. They seem pretty dry already but even if they loose 75% of the weight, that's still almost 6 ounces!

I wanna do a crane dive into that bucket bro.

I've always been a DIY kind of guy, plus it helps that I used to be a commercial construction worker and auto assembly worker. Computers, car audio, and other gadgets and electronics are my hobbies. So after a lot, a lot of reading and research I decided what the hell lets grow something lol. So much went wrong. First clones had spider mites, then I battled root aphids and gnats. Took forever for the roots to recover and honestly I don't think they ever did on this plant because it was dry when i cut it. When I weighed the plant I was shocked, had to double check to make sure lol.

Is the punch line your topic? First grow since ... you left the grow shop you learned and worked for? Your set up is all pro. You're no grom. Exceptional work!

Thanks Ramirez. I did so much research and forum lurking before jumping in. But even all that research wasn't enough to make up for the lack of experience. I'm positive the 2nd grow will be better.

Do you have a picture of your light configuration for the flower room? I have a 10 x 12 room I'd like to try vertical in but I've ran the 2.5 gallon ebb and flow buckets in there and I can't imagine jamming 24 plants in that room with 6 vertical bulbs.

So was it 621 wet ozs for all 24 plants or was it 621 wet oz per plant so 621 x 24 plants equaling 14,904 grams wet total? Im kinda lost....was it also 24 8 foot tall plants in a 8x12 room?? had to be packed wall to wall and what 12 foot ceilings to allow for lights?

Ahhh so not 6 oz per plant then it was 24 plants total 621 wet grams or 27.1 grams per plant which is insanely low for a 8 foot plant

Congrats my friend, nice harvest! But with that much light and that setup you have going that is very very low yield for ALL of those plants total. If that is one plant you got that weight from then that's a great first time grow. Once again Congrats! And happy toking !

Also what made you go commercial starting out your first time? Im doingy first grow us g 2 4x4 tens with 600 watters but 6 1,000's? Wow. Do you just have it like that? Lol. Wish i just had it like that. Be careful, dangerous to just jump into something that big man. I do mostly personal grows inside and leave my commercial growing outdoors. But Im not in a medical or recreational state. It sucks but all of the swine around here is just worried bout the meth and pills. I hope they bust em all and leave the marijuana alone!

621 grams wet is the weight of just 1 plant that was drying up and dying, the rest are still budding. I'm hoping I'll see 8 ounces per plant. Here's a picture of the room design:

Id bump your veg room up to 2 600MH digilux's. 621 wet isnt 8oz dry, probably like 124 grams dry.

Ok now I follow you I knew I just wasnt getting it processed in my brain for some reason. Nice setup

On average you loose 75% of the weight drying. So 621 / 100 = 6.21 x 25% (the remaining weight ) = 155 grams
155 / 28 = 5.54
So i would say you will get 5 and a half oz

Im guessing that's per plant and not a total of the 24

Yes about 5.5 ounces, that's what I said before. But the other plants are much bigger that is why I'm hoping for 8 ounces on the remaining plants.

Why? The 400's already give me 5-6 foot plants in the time I'm waiting for the ones in flower to finish budding.
