cool little set up, are thoes holes in side of esky for vents or was it already broken.you will need some kind of vents so dont get too hot. and thoes little peat pots you use dry out really quick so keep them moist.i use them myself, they work well good for transplanting as no root damage occurs.

I have a little 4" fan blowing from the far side and just cut the other to allow for flow.

I noticed the pots. Everything I read said don't overwater, but every time I looked they seemed dry as heJJ. So tonight I soaked them in water to increase their dampness, and have just made sure everything stays moist.

Yea, those peat pots suck. I thought they would be a good idea to use so transplanting would be easy. They dry out super quick. Most of my babies died. Not sure if it was due to that or a number of other things I could have done wrong.

And yea, make sure you keep good air flow going through that baby. It will get hot. Shouldn't be to hard to keep it cool with just 4 cfl's.

Make sure you have a ph kit! I say that would be one of your number one priorities. You can screw up a bunch of things, but get that ph wrong and they will die fast.

I love it, one suggestion though, find a way to mount those bulbs horizontally and you will get back alot of height in there, Also the bulbs emit most of there light from the sides.
Good luck

A couple of thoughts:
Should I just ditch the peat pots now, and put in dixie cup?
Also the bulbs are straight down in attempting to get the light as close to the pots as possible. They are an outdoor flood light set up, all I have to do is loosen a scew and they will go horizontal. Make that move now?

Thanks for the input all.:joint:

There still buried seeds right? If so, I bet you would be ok to put in some other cups if you are careful.

Your box looks really good. A lot like mine but one thing is your going to need a bit better ventilation and also you might want a couple more lights if ya can just depending on how many plants.

A lot of people hate Miracle Grow soils because of the nutes in it but i used it for my last grow and even though it was a male the plant was doing really good. So im happy with it. I would say just dont start seeds in it becuase the nutes can get to the seeds and such.

Quick updtae

Added 4 light via y splits, currently running 208watts of 6500K Light. 12,800 lumens. Planted my second germed seed and moved the first into a new growing medium, same soil but ditched the peat pots. Thanks for all the input
