My first grow and I have some issues

Main concern is my large plant just doesn't look that healthy. almost all the leaves are curling down so I need some advice on why this is happening. I didnt think i was overwatering but maybe I am.:dunce:

*water schedule is usually every 3rd day
this last water was last night and I use more water this time at about 1.5 gallons per plant and I got lots of overflow out the bottom of the pot and this watering was with no nutes at all. but even before this watering it seemed a little droopy.
* Lots of fan wind hitting the plant. Stem is very thick and I dont know if too much wind can be a bad thing. its not real strong but leaves are usually always moving.

Other problem I think is bugs. I dont see any and there are just a very few leaves that look eaten but not sure what i have here or how to fix it. my grow area is clean and its inside.

Any help is appreciated.bongsmilie

they do look wet. I usually water ever 4th day and never have used a full gallon on just one plant. you need a lot of wind to have an effect like yours from windburn so it is not your fan. I had some spots like your that looked like bugs but to be honest i dont think it is, it was just a few spots and stopped so i wouldnt be worried unless you see more then i would look into it. but most likely you wont get bugs indoors. dont fret your babies look healthy.

i check the pH of my water and make sure is 6.5 but i never really check the water that runs through...maybe i should but whatever. i stick my finger in the soil and if the first inch is dry then its time to water. another good trick is to lift the pot right after you water and feel its weight, then lift it when you know its for sure dry and needs water. with experience you will be able to tell by the weight when you need to water. i've never been able to accomplish this i just use the 1 inch finger test and it works fine. general rule is that they are more likely to survive a drought than a flood

Awesome everyone, thanks for the input.

My Soil ph is right at 6.5 and i usually water with about that or less. I am betting its over water as it might have been two days since my last one and not 3 and then using 1.5 gallons might have been a lot. I think I will wait at least 4 to 5 days before watering it again.
as far as the bugs, I agree it is only on two or three leaves and that one is the worst so I guess I will keep a very close eye on it.

Thanks everyone

1.5 gallons is a lot of freaking water lol. My plant is 2 feet tall and I must only use 2-3 quarts of water every 2-3 days. Sorry to compare quarts to gallons, I am never great with conversions...

well u say you are watering it.. so it couldnt be dry.. like medi said you are overwatering your plant to much. not giving the plant water and giving it to much water shows the same resuslts.

4 quarts are in a gallon so 1.5 gallons would be wayy to much. reduce watering definitely. it is good to let the soil get dry for a little before watering, it allows the roots to really branch out looking for moisture while receiving good amounts of oxygen. just too long without water obviously, and things go awry

OK, thanks everyone for their tips. Great forum here. :dunce: bongsmilie

I was obviously watering to much and to often. my plant on the right side of my cabinet that is called Ganeshas Dream is just rocking and its smaller and I have been giving it about the same as the larger one.

here is my favorite Ganeshas Dream
