Hi and welcome to my grow journal this is my very 1st ever grow so please be patient with me

ok my setup is as follows:-

250 watt HPS lamp
hydroponics drip system
homemade grow tent dimensions H=2m W=1m D = 1m
im not using nutrients yet however i have already purchased Ionic Grow for when my seedling is ready for nutes

i purchased 3 seeds for my grow 1x Alaskan Ice 1x snow white and 1x purple bud

the purple bud and the snow white all germinated within 3 hours however none of them sprouted

my Alaskan Ice took 4 days to germinated and has taken 2 weeks to sprout and it was in a 1 inch piece of rockwool so it wasnt buried to deep to sprout

now it has finally sprouted its about an inch and half tall with 6 tiny leaves it is doing well and looks like a healthy little seedling i have attached 2 pics to this thread and will post more pics once a week to update everyone

thankyou for taking the time to read my thread and all comments are welcome if anyone would like to know what materials i used for my grow room or how much it cost please feel free to ask im in the UK so all my purchases where in GBP

hi west

yeah it looks like a bit of algae but strange thing is 2 of my friends have just grown cali orange and a strain called shitfaced (which ive never heard of) using the same method as me and their blocks went greener than mine and it had no effect on the plants at all and it doesnt seem to be affecting mine yet either i heard it common with hydro systems im not sure what to make of it or whether i should do anything about it lol

the only thing u can do is stop light getting on the rockwool but u dont wanna stop the air getting to it.

hi G ive been watching your journal aswell past few days looking good i cant wait i have some algae on my roots now and ive got brown spots on my leaves overnight i think its nute block so im cleaning the whole thing out later including rinsing the roots in fresh water for a while hopefully that will sort it

ok here it is a more update pic of my AI i flushed the roots for a few hours and the algae seems to be gone from the roots the rockwool still seems to be covered in it but aslong as the roots are fine im hoping it wont have any affect on the growth and health of the plant i also have a california orange cutting in there that has rooted but it aint doing much else at the minute i'll put pics of that up when its showing signs of life

the 2 attatched pics are the same plant 1 is an above view and the other is a side view

thanks for reading and i look forward to the comments you might leave

Wow wow wow. She's looking great. A big thumbs up for you. Alaskan Ice is one of my fav plants to grow, so easy, high yealding and doesn't even take up much space. I'd say let her reach 18 inch and then flower her.

Congrats so far. Great choice for a first grow! Good luck with your green lady!

yeah i know they at least double in floweing period i have 2 metres of hight available so i should be ok. this strain can reach heights of 2.5 metres outside with yield reaching 800g per plant that would be great obviously but gonna try keeping it smaller and hope for a great yield

you got any up to date pics on your journal G?? id love to see how she's doing in flowering
